After getting hit with horrendous quarterly results, and after firing their chief diversity and inclusion officer, a position that should never be found in any company, Nike has announced that they are going to start layoffs in Oregon and restructure their organization.

So, Kapernick gets paid, and the employees get fired. Well done, idiots.

Nike, after disclosing a rare money-losing quarter in June, announced layoffs that will eliminate at least 500 jobs at the company’s world headquarters in Oregon, according to the state of Oregon's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification web site.

In a letter from Kim Lupo, a Nike vice president sent to three local officials, Lupo wrote that Nike "will be permanently reducing its workforce by at least 500 employees at its World Headquarters." The letter informs the officials that the "expected date" to begin the layoffs will be Oct.1 and will include "members of NIKE's corporate leadership team and some corresponding executive assistants."

They should give every exec job in the company to a POC. Phil Knight too. He needs to believe in something and sacrifice everything. Don't talk the talk, walk the walk.

Looks like Kaepernick isn’t the only one sacrificing everything. 03-lmfao

one doesn't need a checkbook to loot.
I think we will see more layoffs. The big companies have been holding the line, waiting to see what things look like.

The first round of layoffs was all the small businesses. Now that they are recovering, its going to be the big ones.

The good news is that the 2nd quarter was only down 9.5% (annualized rate was plugged by media-over 30%). I thought it would be a much bigger decline.

...the USD stops moving?!

....the product is stale?!

@onAndon
It's not just that people turn away from you when you go woke, it's also that the woke are absurdly fickle.
Its hard to make a profit on sales to woke rioters who steal the shoes from your storefront. Especially after you have turned the paying customers off with your wokeness.

Oh good 500 more Oregonians who have plenty of time on their hands to burn schidt down and take things that they didn't pay for.

They’re facing a double or even triple whammy. Grown men on their knees isn’t a good look to many, “made in China” in sweat shops at around $2.80 a day on average for workers turns off others.

Banking on the gigantic market in China to save your assses is seriously flawed as well. Why? They make about 2.80 a day. Tough to buy $125 sneakers at that rate.

Said it a dozen or more times by now: China needs us and our markets, we don’t need China, and in this instance, nor Nike.
