Years from now, let's say odu got an invite from the american conference later this year, what would be the first thing you would remember about 2020,the pandemic, civil unrest, election,or odu getting into american.just curious.
What year did ODU get into CUSA? (I know it but I bet most have to look up).

The pandemic is numero uno.
i whole heartily agree, but what a nice carrot to end this miserable year on a high note.get er done.
Depends on who is left in the AAC when we get there. I hope you know something we don't. I think we went to CUSA in 2013.
I think here in Hampton Roads we may be remembering 2020 for this hurricane with the name that I cannot pronounce.

Who the hell is charge of coming up with these storm names? Someone is getting paid to make stupid decisions like this...
I'm all for cultural diversity, but give us a name we can pronounce.
2020 will be remembered as the year Big Brother ascended.

=> We must all wear masks - - not just where appropriate, such as indoor public venues, which is a perfectly fair expectation. But also where it makes no sense, such as alone outdoors or even in our own homes. Big Brother insists upon it.

=> We cannot allow our children to attend in-person school - - not even private schooling is free from this command. Big Brother has a real soft spot for teachers unions, but not so much for the welfare of our youth.

=> We must kneel to the National Anthem under threat of mob condemnation. Big Brother does not like for us to express respect for our own country.

=> We must overlook desecration and destruction of public (and some private) property. Big Brother wants to re-teach us all history from a new narrative.

=> We must insist that storms be unpronounceable. Never mind that no one was insisting that our neighbors in the Dominican Republic call the storm something different if they so wished. Big Brother, after all, has decreed that “the world doesn’t revolve around the US.”
2020 hmm If I wear my Redskins gear am I considered a racist now? 07-coffee3

before everyone gets all pissy. It's a joke. I don't believe you or anyone else here are self-centered to the point of perpetual entitlement. It's a forum and people just come here to vent. =]

Indeed - my power has been out since last night. I don’t know how anyone lived in Virginia w/out AC.

2020 has really sucked, between at first no toilet paper, meat shortage, coin shortage, not being able to go to church, concerts, sometimes the beach, wearing masks, people you know leery of you, people cannot go to work, people being layed off,no sports, can't travel,no movies,no new tv,mass people dying, protests, people being divided, people being murdered in the streets, hatred everywhere. Wow,what does one do. I'll tell you. They look at themselves and their family and they give them the loving support they need and then you do the same with your neighbor and so on. We have got to come together and go back to basic human kindness and basic human interaction and stop only thinking about ourselves and try and see the other guy's point of view and get this country back to where we should be. Go monarchs, I love you guys.[/b]

True that, brother.

I live near downtown Suffolk and it did a number on my neighborhood too. We drove to Capron last Friday to buy the best melons I have ever had and you are right, it did a number on that hotel and the area around it. Hope you made out OK.
Somebody told me this a guy walks in to a bar and asks for a Corona and 2 hurricanes the bartender says that will be $20.20

That’s pretty good. How about this:

There’s gonna be a lot of hot air blowing around this week. There’ll also be a couple of hurricanes.

Seriously though, I wish the gulf coast the best of luck. Mother Nature is just piling on at this point.
Me too
