Regardless of what you think of Michael Moore, he tried years ago, when the automobile industry left Flint, to get a Nike plant located there. The response from the owner of Nike at that time was, "The people of Flint do not want to manufacture athletic shoes".
This is why, personally, I never purchase Nike products.
