Big Ten
No. 1 pick: Cincinnati. It’s geographically sensible, and helps keep some kids in conference that might otherwise go to Notre Dame or Kentucky.
Big 12
No. 2 pick: UCF (football only). The league passes on adding yet another former SWC member, Houston, in favor of dipping into the rich Florida recruiting pipeline.
SEC
No. 3 pick: SMU. Poor Houston. My guess is Texas A&M would try to block the Cougars, but the league would jump at the chance to get into the DFW metroplex.
No. 8 pick: Memphis. It’s a de facto SEC market already, and it make sense for Memphis to be in a conference with Tennessee and the Mississippi schools.
ACC
No. 4 pick: USF. USF hasn’t yet had the same breakthrough as UCF, but it offers a power conference a lot of the same benefits.
… And with that, I’ll brace for the hate mail from Houston fans.

Why would UCF have to go FB only? WV is just as far if not farther.

Why would UCF have to go FB only? WV is just as far if not farther.
Exactly, if it’s about competitiveness, then why would they have UCF football only and then the ACC has usf all sports?
