Had the Sparkomatic FM converter. Installation was easy. Just plug it in behind the dash and duct tape it to the front hump.
In this day of energy bars, I am surprised Food Sticks has not made a return.

And how about the original Tang Breakfast Drink? We were all mixing it thinking the astronauts did too and feeling pretty smug about that sugary, orange powder that was a poor substitute for fresh orange juice.

“Mammy’s lil baby, loves shortn’ bread”

Would be highly controversial around here today.

Remember the good ol' Zenith TV in a wood cabinet that weighed about 300 lbs? If you had to move one of these baby's up a flight of stairs...

Same with the vintage stereo in a cabinet...also doubled as furniture for lamps and other items.

One of my teammate’s dad on the wrestling team my senior year of high school always wore that leisure suit with those platform shoes.... that was in 1990. He had the long gold chain and everything, he was 6’0 and weighed 130 pounds soaking-wet. Facially he sort of resembled James Woods’ Lester Diamond from Casino.

Well--you have to remember that "portable" meant something different back then...it meant "has a handle on it". I remember our "portable" Hi Fi:

I remember trying to watch the ONTV scrambled signal without the box--seems you could sometimes get the sound.
