ODU's Sept. 12 game is now off. UVa. and Wake Forest still in the air with the ACC not ready to commit to a conference-only schedule as of now.

EDIT TO ADD: In theory ODU could play Navy as both have Sept. 12 open, though let's be honest, the chances of anyone playing in the fall are plunging off a cliff.
If its just CUSA teams on the schedule now, I'd just as soon not play at all. Save the guys eligibility and hope we all just play this season's schedule next year. Hopefully the P5 will cancel their whole seasons and everyone can just push their schedules back a year.
I believe the season will kickoff in March 2021, something I guessed back in April 2020

You'd still have UConn and that'd be tricky, because technically UConn is taking ODU's spot in the home-and-home with UNC. If the ACC goes to conference-only but CUSA permits OOC games (unlikely, but work with me), how does that get resolved? Does UConn still play UNC at some point, or is ODU back on the hook for that game, and UConn-ODU is just a buy game on its own?
This is breaking. Will update as needed.

I merged the two Hampton threads and the system put them as one post. Not sure what happened but all posts are here.
Lost in the mire of the merge, Reese wrote an article about this on FQ:

I’m waiting on a quote from ODU on this, if I get it, I’ll update

I think we're witnessing the slow march to the cancelation of the football season.
Updated my piece with a statement from Wood Selig
Wood is going to be seriously disappointed when Virginia is rolled back into phase 2 because numbers, particularly in Hampton Roads, are growing rapidly and the football season gets canceled. I do feel for Coach Rahne. What a way to start off your first season as a head coach.

Yep. Football will begin in March if at all. Basketball won’t start until January. Forget the out of conference schedule.

It's looking like spring football is out, because coaches are reluctant to play even a shortened season, then have so little time before the 2021 season.
