The P5 ADs say that this doesn't necessarily mean that all of college football will be cancelled for the fall, though. The P5 conferences all look to be moving ahead with the season, though some (B1G) will likely play a shortened, conference-only season.

This is going to be a strange season for college sports, no matter what happens.

Stanford drops 11 Varsity sports.

Funding 36 programs... that seems excessive. I’m not in the know so how many funded programs did WMU have in 2019?
Stanford and other private schools have massive endowments, which is why they fund such a ridiculous amount of varsity sports. Ivy League, military academies, Notre Dame, Rice, Vanderbilt, etc are all like that. It's crazy how some of these schools have 3,000 students and fund 40 varsity sports teams.

I believe WMU is at 16.
The MEAC has cancelled fall sports. The third FCS conference to do so, after the Ivy League and Patriot League.
The CAA has cancelled fall sports. WMU must replace their FCS opponent yet again.

Betting we won't attempt to do so.

CAA cancelled conference games only.

Yes, Stony Brook game is still a go, as of right now. But only if Stony decides to still play some games outside of their conference schedule.

Ah, I see. That's sort of...interesting. I don't really understand the point.
A good chance for these FCS schools to make some cash by filling in schedule slots for FBS teams still trying to play an OOC schedule right now, like us. They could host some other local FCS and D-II schools too maybe and still enjoy some semblance of a season.
Stony Brook is officially cancelled.

Both of our home OOC games are nixed, and I'm wondering if we even try scouring the FCS landscape for replacements this time.

This leaves only @ ND and @ Cincinnati left standing (for now).

Is Syracuse officially done? I thought the ACC was holding off for the time being...

My mistake, I thought ACC already jumped on the conference-only bandwagon, but I might've misheard.

Although it's probably just a matter of time.
