Illuminati at work on college sports message boards yet again. You think DavidSt and NoDak are here by accident?

(he writes about ODU for the site)

So he is here just to pimp out a personal website?

If any of you haven't watched The Kentucky Fried Movie, you're seriously missing out.

And why is this here, and not on the CUSA board. This place is more for "Penn State finally joins CUSA"-type threads.

No thanks. They’re too far out of the footprint

"If only there was a forum on this site where one would normally announce that a move by an athlete I have never heard about before to a school I do not follow might be brought to the attention of people who care about whoever Slade is finally becoming a Monarch in whatever sport he or she plays in," I muttered quietly to myself, when I first saw the post.

Yep. He trolled the MAC board about an article on his site about Falwell being racist.

Nothing is too far out of the CUSA footprint

“Slade is a 5’10 power forward out of Arkansas Tech who averaged 1.7 points and 2 rebounds per game and an expected starter for ODU in their 2020/2021 basketball campaign.”

Agreed. If you go to a sit-down restaurant and ask for sweet tea and they look at you funny and go "well we have mango green tea, does that work?" then that town's school can't be in CUSA.

Slade is his first name. His last name is Dalton. He’s a bouncer at the Double Dooche in Jasper, Missouri.

If the Lady Monarchs are so hard up for size that a 5'10" power forward is expected to be a starter, I don't expect to be seeing them in the NCAA Women's Sweet 16 ... so why exactly should a non-CUSA fan care?

Slade plays on the men’s team. He’s a dude.

See the importance of including the essential details when doing a write-up? (Though I am not sure why you are doing the OP's job for him.)

In that case the 5'10" issue for a power forward is even more dramatic. CUSA may be a single bid conference, but even so that seems on the short side for a small forward, never mind a power forward.

None of this is relevant because why would he transfer from Arkansas Tech when we already know that they, Wayne State, Upper Iowa and Colorado-Mesa are moving to D1 and joining the Big 12?

Slade had offers from Temple and USF as well.
Why would Mr. Slade get a waiver on the non-grad transfer sit out rule, assuming there is a season? His hometown isn’t within 100 miles of ODU, he clearly left to follow Rahne and he isn’t a quarterback at Ohio State, Miami or another P5 team.
