I'm sure hburg's a super cool dude, but he is moderating precisely nothing.

I vote no confidence - time to replace him with someone (or two or three someones) who have an interest in actually moderating.

I also strongly urge that we update the board rules that political content of any sort be relegated to the OT section, no exceptions.

I'm tired of this nonsense of people saying 'ugh this board is unreadable' and 'ugh I'm about to look for alternatives' when the obvious, correct choice is sitting in front of us. As long as someone serves the purpose of moderator like pretty much every other forum on the internet, we'll be all good to go.

Make your nominations, or step forward with your self-nomination, and let's get this crap taken care of.

I'm up with that, but when I'm attacked by an assclown troll from another board, I have to defend myself. If it happens on an OT thread, I will do it there. If it happens on another thread, I will do it there. Just a reminder that today's misery was instigated by a troll from ODU.

I am all for prohibiting all political and religious talk on the "Normal Threads" board, and I still believe that hburg is right for letting this run its course. I vote to keep hburg as our mod.

I'm good with hburg. We've got way more active posters than any board I've witnessed. Something is going right. Sure we go at it from time to time, if you can't take it go take a nap.

And you guys had gone off the rails on several threads way before I commented. Just a reminder that adding additional moderators was first suggested by an ODU troll, because we're better than you.

It’s kind of sad a sports message board frequented mostly by grown ass adults needs any moderation.

But I guess that’s the society we live in now. Just a bunch of angry people that need a full case of chill pills.

Mostly our need is when two people completely highjack a conversation and go back and forth and start name calling. Sometimes a handful of people. Usually regarding Jeff Jones.

I'll talk with hburg to see if he has time restrictions. If he has competing interests for his time we'll have a supplemental election. However one thing this place isn't is unmoderated right now. If you use report post there's a substantial team including supermods who can see that. Closing this thread for now. If you have questions/comments feel free to PM me.

After further reading of threads I will publicly say regarding our thread op here .... DIAL IT BACK JUNIOR. You're not Raz in CHAZ, and we'll be staging no Animal Farm re-enactments here today. Have a trolling warning on your account from me personally for being so damn melodramatic and constantly infusing politics into sports threads. Figures you'd be the one calling most for moderators.
