Some of those ratings are pure lunacy.
Yeah, a lot of them are pretty accurate, but you can't tell me ULM hasn't had more success than TXST since the Bobcats joined the league.

If Texas State is #5 in donors, Teis needs to go because he hasn't done near enough with those resources.

Georgia Southern eighth in hoops success??? Uh, no.

And Lafayettte 7th in quality of life. Evidently they've never been to Cajun Country.

I originally thought the same thing but it said the results are from a poll of current SBC AD's and potential future AD's for SBC schools (granted I don't know how far that actually stretches)
these that jumped at me from a Louisiana stand point- mostly.

1) just look at the results of power 5 AD potential to get your overall results of this surveyed power index.
2) quality of life in Lafayette, seems lower than i expected.
3) Little Rock being #2 in MBB success is a surprise. seems a single win in the NCAA touney means more than anything else.
lol
We have a new AD since they collected their data. According to the article the best thing we have going for us right now is our "brand perception." We got hit hard in the facilities column and for good reason. Hoping our new AD makes that one of his top priorities. The "quality of life" criteria is highly subjective, almost laughable.

Our ball arena probably hurts us or else we're in the too 5.

And that quality of life rating, lol. Maybe if you're rating Sun Belt towns on night life.
One poor season and we can’t even crack Top 3 anymore...or maybe we are just ULM on steroids

Voters must not have liked gnats
IMO we should be no lower than 7 in FB success, 10 in brand perception, and 9 in MBB. The rest might be accurate though.

This is about potential for success in football and basketball.

I agree, yall should be ahead of USA, Coastal, and TxSt in FB success. But ya'll were literally ranked last in every single category. That seems like a perception problem.

Yes.
Perception is everything and most who take the time to write G5 material are the younger. Basically if you put two bad seasons in row together you're a media have not at the G5 level. Fans much the same take the UCF fan posting the dissertation on realignment saying App is the mother ship of the Sun Belt and has the power to leverage realignment. LOL! By the way GS is 10 and O against UCF. GS is 15 and 18 vs App state while GS has promoted 3 head coaches in recent history with two one and two and dones with more losers like most in between promotions. While App sent it's first in a half century a couple years ago and the merit behind the second you tell me. Ark state could easily make the same argument. If your athletics department has a power index let's start with who's promoting staff and how often that occurs. Anything short of that data is useless information.
GS on tilt
Our facilities aren't that bad... Maybe the info is out of date before new stadium, changes in the mitchell center, baseball field house.

App State has won 2 conference championships in the last two years with different head coaches. If App State wins its 5th straight Sun Belt championship - like the young? media is projecting - it would be 3 championships in a row with 3 different coaches. How would that square with your information.

Since joining the Sun Belt App State has won four, yes FOUR, Sun Belt Championships and could make it 5 in a row this year. How many has GS won?

The only notable thing that you have done is beat us - and that still didn't stop us from being nationally ranked for 2 years and we still won the conference. So just stop with the young media and coaching changes BS - you really sound like a bunch of whiners.
Honestly, I'm really surprised App State was ranked first in facilities.

That's what winning will get you.
