I'm sure you will be able to get tickets to Tulane, SMU and UTSA. Fans at their games have been practicing social distancing their entire existence.

The big winner in all this will be the University of Tennessee. With all of the uncle/brother, cousin/niece, sister/wife combos, they should be able to legally seat 80,000 per game.

Incorrect about both Tulane and SMU.

Tulane was once in the SEC and the Sugar Bowl was played at Tulane Stadium. And hosted 3 of the first 9 Super Bowls. The record attendance for the stadium was set on December 1, 1973, when 86,598 watched Tulane defeat in-state rival LSU 14-0, ending a 25-year winless streak for the Green Wave against the Bayou Bengals.

SMU was in the Southwest conference and before the death penalty upended their apple cart.

I'm so sorry. I'm hearing that MLB is thinking about adopting something they call the designated hitter rule, in the American League. What are your thoughts on that?

I believe Stammers was referring to attendance in the somewhat recent past. Don’t try to distort his point with your references to attendance figures that occurred decades ago.

Stick to marbles.

Based on his quote above I believe your statement in bold above that is incorrect.

Reading comprehension is a learned skill.

Or perhaps you don't understand what "their entire existence" means?

What are their best years for average attendance for both Tulane and SMU? Tulane has been playing football since 1893; SMU since 1915. Be a hero and come up with 5 years for each where they had good attendance.

SMU

Lot of info on current attendance. They have sold out their 32,000 stadium and with an enrollment of less that 10k in a pro city that's not bad.

I thumbed through this thesis and discovered that for many years in the 70's they averaged 25-30,000, much like us. But with a third of the enrollment.

Quote:After the team served the NCAA death penalty due to numerous recruiting violations, and spent the first six years after their return at Ownby Stadium.

Quote:Ownby Stadium

Quote:Social Distancing
social distancing, also called physical distancing, is a set of non-pharmaceutical interventions or measures intended to prevent the spread of a contagious disease by maintaining a physical distance between people and reducing the number of times people come into close contact with each other.

They only got great crowds when the "visiting" team was Texas, Texas A&M and occasionally Arkansas. Nice try though.

You said their entire existence. Now complain because you got proven wrong?

You used to be better than this.
I still think Stammers and Hernando Hills are the same person with different handles. He just likes to argue with himself.
