It's behind ESPN Plus pay wall but don't let curiosity get to you. They did not comment on why UAB is in this tier.

Quote:Nevada, Troy and Middle Tennessee all enjoyed on-field success under program-building coaches (Chris Ault, Larry Blakeney and Rick Stockstill). But all three programs face challenges with resources and location. ... Tulane historically has been a tough place for a job (only one season of more than eight wins since 1979), but there's positive momentum with on-campus facilities and stable leadership with coach Willie Fritz and athletic director Troy Dannen. ... Hawaii made the Sugar Bowl in 2007, and three of its past four coaches have recorded 10-win seasons. The program has a unique profile that can attract a range of recruits, but significant financial issues are always present at UH.
I can see why we’re where we’re at. There was A LOT of stink (though it usually had to do with something besides us/the team) before Clark got here. Though facilities have drastically improved, we’ll need to continue to be in the top 2-3 teams of this conference for years, like Boise did with the WAC, to get respect/out of here. Building a legitimate program takes time.
Quote:
Tier 4 jobs: Moderate challenges with finances, facilities or program support; requires a unique approach in recruiting to compete with upper-tier teams in their leagues; bowl eligibility is a realistic goal most seasons, with some 10-win seasons from time to time; not much sustained history of success.

Troy is a tier 3 over us?

Troy has had more bowl appearances and overall better success than we have, plus they've been D1 (FBS, whatever) for about a decade less. Seems fair.

This is like Rocky III. PB JR shoved down Mickey and he had a heart attack before our fight with Clubber Lang and we lost (program shut down). Now Mickey is gone and we have trained with Apollo's trainer and ready to dominate again.

Speaking of PBJ, isn't this the perfect time to remind everyone of greentrack and his heavy racial bias that has been documented in news articles and such?
