They'd never be able to air NYPD Blue today. Lots of racial issues dealt with in shades of grey. Lead character was a bit of a racist and definitely was not above police brutality.
For that matter, they would never be able to do All in the Family as a new series. It was intended to make fun of the conservative bigot, but it didn't paint him as enough of a villian. It was the liberal son-in-law, Meathead, who nobody liked.
