Few weeks ago the Atlanta paper ranked the top 100 SEC teams ever.
1. LSU 2019 15-0
2. Tennessee 1938 11-0 (TN had 14 of the 100 more than all but AL)
3. Ole Miss 1959 10-1 (Syracuse MNC)
4. LSU 2011 13-1 (ahead of rematch winner Alabama!)
5. Alabama 2011 12-1
6. Alabama 1934 10-0
7. Alabama 1971 11-1 (4th in country behind 3 Big 8 teams-destroyed by Nebraska in bowl)
8. Alabama 2009 14-0
9. Georgia Tech 1952 12-0
10. Alabama 1966 11-0
Alabama also had 11-13 (1961, 1979 and 2012). They had 28 of the 100
Auburn's top was #14 1957 10-0
Florida's top was #15 2008 13-1
Georgia's top was #30 1946 11-0. Somehow Hershel's 1980 MNC winners didn't make the list but 12 other Georgia teams did.
Kentucky's top and only was #59 1950 10-1
Texas A&M's top and only was #61 2012 11-2
Miss. St.'s top and only was #67 1940 10-0-1
Arkansas's top and only was #78 2011 11-2
Didn't find any Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Missouri, Suwanee or Tulane teams.
