Meh.... they let him go pretty quickly....

They did not arrest Josh Campbell. These state police made a mistake which makes the cops look like they hate black people. This reporter is black, and the governor have to make an apology over this.

I'm pretty sure CNN didn't show everything. Anyway, it was interesting that CNN immediatly played the race card, which a certain poster in this thread already ran with. Typical, but not surprising. I guess CNN knows what works with its followers.

Regardless of race, were they not ALL asked multiple times to get out of the middle of the street? If so, why did they not comply?

Because they are "The Media", they live by their own rules. They don't see themselves as citizens, they are waaaaaay above that. Rules don't apply to them.

No one should take glee in media getting arrested, no matter the outlet. When that becomes partisan we're just asking for a police state. This video needs more context to draw a proper conclusion on what unfolded.

So was he arrested just because he worked for CNN or because he was disobeying orders from the police?

Disagree. If someone from the media is not complying with a normal command/law that applies to everyone then of course he/she should be arrested. Being in the media doesn't put anyone above the law. If they were asked to get out of the street and refused, then no issue with them being taken off and certainly no issue if they tried to use the "media" defense.
