Jackson says he strongly considered transferring (to some big-name programs), and probably would have if not for his Mom objecting. The big (alleged) reason to transfer wasn't lack of fans at games or conference affiliation. It was what a culture of losing, where the team would lose games and instead of being in the dumps and doubling down on getting better, guys would joke around. Jackson says that he had trouble adopting that attitude because he came from a winning HS program.
