Offensive tackle Kyle Long (6-6, 300) of Florissant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan this evening, via Twitter.
A class of 2021 recruit, Long was offered a scholarship by the Chippewas March 27. He chose CMU over reported offers from Missouri State, Murray State and Eastern Illinois. He also reported recruiting interest from Indiana, Northern Illinois and Southern Illinois.
Long becomes the eighth known verbal commitment in the Chippewas 2021 class.
