Sweet. Hopefully, someone, somewhere, will come up with something that will let us return to "normal" soon!

I don't think normal will ever exist again. We've learnt that many can work from home. Many mom & pop restaurants will never reopen. We'll return to a whole new reality for sure.
When all the covid fraud dries up and blows away (probably weeks away), things will start getting back to normal

I get the feeling that many posters on this board still believes that the earth is flat.

Is that evil vodka you've been drinking or rubbing alcohol?

It makes just about as much sense as shutting down the economy and quarantining healthy people

As states start opening up, we are all going to see how overblown the coronavirus was

The reason that this thing hasnt been as bad as it could have been is because of the quarantine. We are already seeing how overblown the virus is, as Florida and Texas are already seeing spikes in the rate of infection. Im afraid that the greed of some is going to teach many a very valuable lesson as this thing starts to really spread. You will be convinced sooner than you think. Here is a LINK to keep up to the hour info and stats on the virus for every State.

How many unemployed vs. how many people infected

Texas is fine and they are doing things the right way

NYC on the other hand...

Im not going to get into a tit for tat with you. But you will see in a month or so. And you seem to admit that the virus is a problem in NYC, so the virus is really not a fraud. to you.

I am removing my posts for Hallcity's sanity

I can't say I'll change my opinion on Duke basketball though
Does this board have a moderator? Can I mute someone?

You can ignore the thread, or not read my posts lol

But I will quit posting about it on here, for Hallcity's sanity
I lost an Aunt and an Uncle to COVID 19. I can assure folks that this is a very real thing.

Having said that, shutting down the economy, and self quarantining, is like dropping an atom bomb on an ant hill. Because the fact of the matter is, 99% of people who wind up infected DO recover. And I know several who have done just that.

I think any future outbreaks will see a different approach to combating the virus. Like in South Korea, where the economy wasn't shut down, but wearing masks in public was mandatory. They blunted the virus much better than we have, and their proximity to where this thing originated makes that even more impressive.

Pervis, That is very sad to hear about your Uncle and Aunt. That cant be good for any family. My condolences.

The current death rate in the US is about 6%. With 1,292,600+ infected Americans and 76,900+ deaths. The disease is so debilitating that many of those who are hospitalized but survive are not going to be the same again, due to the likes of damaged kidneys, weakened hearts and lungs etc...

I work in the insurance industry and as anyone else in the industry can attest to, All of the insurance carriers that my agency represents have put restrictions on anyone who has Covid-19 or has had Covid-19 or has been exposed to Covid-19 . When insurance carriers start making those types of decisions, its a very real threat.

Very sorry to hear that. One relative lost is too many, much less two. It's a story that's being repeated every week, many times over.

That IS interesting, isn't it? And yet, in the United States we have people shooting retail employees who won't let them into their stores without a mask and business owners who are telling employees they're fired if they don't take their masks off at work... so no, I don't have a lot of confidence that America is going to fix this any time soon, if at all.

I do have faith that God will fix it, though.
