Getting busted out Friday the 13th this November.

Won't be our best team, be we'll show up.
What are you referring too?

You are playing EZU the day prior.

Uhh, the Keg is for football. No such trophy for basketball.

I was simply speaking in a rather casual manner in referring to the UC-UL rivalry... in the case it being yes, a basketball game. I didn't think that the reference was that big of a deal.

You are correct, when we win technically you will not have to hand over the keg.
Ok...gotcha. you threw me. LOL

Glad to see old BE, Metro, cusa teams get back together

Now all we need is for UL to show up to a real keg of nails game and we'll be on to something.

Cincinnati football is expected to be pretty good this year, but I don't think you're going to want any part of Louisville now that Satterfield has them back on track.
Hopefully the game is actually played.
I would love to see this game schedule as the first game of the year for both teams. There are a lot of tradition games with corny trophy’s, but the Keg of Nails is a bad ass game that should be played. I don’t care how good Cincy will be, and it’s a shame that Louisville powers to be at the time decided this game was no longer needed. I hope Vince Tyra Louisville’s AD can see after scheduling the basketball game starting this year that the FB needs to be back as well as all sports IMO back on the schedule.

I understand the reasons why UofL chose to walk away from the football series. You only have 4 OOC games and you already had another rivalry game with UK. Plus, you guys wanted to create as much separation from UC as possible given our conference affiliation. That being said, I have to wonder if the pandemic will create a new paradigm were schools will begin scheduling more regional games going forward.

Basketball is a no brainer. It was always my understanding a reason we had not matched up before had more to do with Mick Cronin’s relationship with Rick Pitino (too much mutual love and admiration), and then due to Mick’s relationship with Mack (just the opposite). Getting the game back is a great thing for college sports.

Absolutely. This game is not happening if it's still Mick vs Mack. Brennan and Mack on the other hand are friends. I drive down to the YUM Center to catch games but I'm really looking forward to seeing my Cardinals within a short drive of my house. Let's hope the season isn't delayed or cut short.

It’s OK
It’s been so long since UC fans have seen The Keg you have probably forgotten it was a football trophy so it’s understandable.

In case you have forgotten this....
