4/20 would be better

I've been working every day anyway. Just glad that people (including my wife) can get their lives back
It is about 85 miles from our house to Gatlinburg. We may have to go enjoy some Tennessee freedom at the end of April if our scumbag liberal governor keeps talking about tasks forces and getting a plan in place.

Well, what in the actual f$%^ has he been doing this entire time? We're planning on escaping the nanny-state up north here, this D-B has us on lockdown until Mid- freaking-June.

Total deaths predicted STATEWIDE during this entire thing? Fewer than 800. Fewer than died in car crashes last year.
Unfortunately it does not apply to Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville.

Considering our local task force morons are still citing that out in left field Vanderbilt model with a peak in June, I am not hopeful they get on board. Only saving grace for Memphis is that most (all?) of the municipal mayors in Shelby County are Republican, so maybe they can band together and put some pressure on the city and county mayor.
Vote Blue they'll force their will upon you
I had planned to be in Gatlinburg the end of May, I just think too many tourists from too many states is a recipe for COVID19 hotspot. Going to pass on a vacation for now. 05-nono

I rented a cabin for my stag party in Gatlinburg the last weekend in May (made the reservation back in January). I've still got a week or so to cancel and get a refund but I've been holding off as long as I could.
Tennessee has almost twice as many traffic fatalities as corona virus deaths in 2020. Using liberal logic, let’s make driving cars in Tennessee illegal

I think I need to start dialing 311 whenever I see someone out driving.

Cuz I'm the kinda person that likes to turn in other people to the government.

Given the deaths in NYC, maybe we should outlaw subways!

Again, stay home if you want, there are some people who want/need to work though. It’ll apply here soon.

you are in fact 'SAFER at home' though. I'm fine with say Wayne County with it's 2 positive cases reopening as normal...but Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville have FAR higher numbers and should still take precautions IMHO. That doesn't mean you're locked away in your home or something. Mess around in the garden, watch a good movie, apply for your 600 a week and get that trump check.

Yep. Moron Strickland will keep Memphis closed as long as he can, but the municipal mayors will either open up places in their towns or pressure the county mayor to allow them to.

I do not care to sacrifice our family business permanently so people can sit at home and be given a check from the government.

Are you still working? I bet you are and that would explain your lack of empathy towards those who aren't. But hey, you're also a liberal democrat sheep all too willing to lap up the swill they're feeding you so I get it.

aren't they helping small business as well? if not, that's terrible...I agree we're going to open...but not all at once. 5/1 is just around the corner and we can watch to see what happens in Chattanooga and Atlanta first.

we need to be ready and prepared for a potential second surge...
