He added, “We are diving deeply into what does the intelligence community know, what resources we would bring there, and what do we need to do prospectively to better protect the country in the future. That last piece, how do we protect the country in the future, is really the mission of that independent commission we based on, we used the model the 9/11 commission.”

What actionable intelligence did Bush ignore? Actionable intel would have been that 19 persons of interest all bought airline tickets on the same day. Did Bush know that? Were our intel agencies actually focused on that or were they asleep at the switch?
The stuff that he supposedly "ignored," the idea that terrorists were planning "something," was widely known but hardly actionable. I remember changing planes at LAX in July, coming home from Sydney with my son, ex, and her kids, and being extremely alert because I had read the rumors. But I didn't have any actionable intel.

Again, what actionable intel did Trump ignore? The end of January, the WHO was still telling us it was no big deal, based on China's representations. Fauci himself said no big deal for Americans. Hindsight is 20/20, but it is hard to come up with anything known to be true at the time.

Schiff needs to dive deeply into a shallow pool.
His own party should dive deeply into the decisions he made pushing the failed impeachment fiasco.... start with how much taxpayer money was spent on the failed mission. Then you can spread that investigation to the number of lives that could have been saved if the bill that his Boss Nancy stalled, so that Unions had more power and the Kennedy Center got some funds (because those had a major impact on the US response to combat Corona....).
Did anyone actually expect the D's to do any different? I mean, Trump could introduce the vaccine and the D's would "launch an investigation" into why it took so long to introduce the vaccine. All the D's know how to do is "investigate" and they aren't very good at that seeing as to how every "investigation" has failed.
