Of course it's based on NCSU recruiting...but still relevant to us!

Thanx man.

He sure seems to like Moravian Prep.

Interesting that #7 is Hawk alum Joel Justus.

He’s a top assistant at one of the premiere blue blood schools.

Gotta be good to get to where he’s at. Still curious how he managed to get on at Kentucky. Anyone know?

I’d imagine it had to do with Cal’s UNCW connection somehow

Joel’s dad, John Justus, was SID at UNCW when Cal was here.

Makes sense.

I see Justus makes $270000 annually, not bad! I really liked him as a player.
The only depressing thing I’ve seen from him (Joel Justus) of late is his twitter activity. He hasn’t so much as peeped about UNCW, the hire of Siddle, etc.

Conversely, when JMU hired Byington he not only praised the hire (I don’t fault him for that) but ended with “Go Dukes!”. I wouldn’t be upset that he praised Byington and JMU’s decision to hire him, but his “Go Dukes!” to finish it off felt almost criminal.

I appreciate Joel, but I always think of the ill-advised three he took against Maryland. We beat the press and he took a shot when we needed to melt the clock. I'm not over it.

We all remember him for that, but if he hits it, it’s ball game. I was pretty shocked that he took it. It obviously was a very good look and we still should have won anyway.

There's no justification for the shot. I get that if we win, or if it went in, we wouldn't remember or care, but it was an awful decision and we lost. To your point, we don't criticize Ed Williams for trying to dunk on Clancy when we were up 4 or fouling their PG shooting a three when we were up 6.

I have to disagree. He took the shot with 6 seconds left on the shot clock. He was wide open. They were denying Goldsberry and Blizzard the ball. It was the right shot. He had the green light. It would have been different if he was contested. Maryland was not going to let John or Brett beat them. There was 1:04 left in the game. I will not put the weight of losing that game on his shoulders. He was doing what he was coaches to do. It didn't go. It happens. It took a miracle shot to beat us. Life's a biotch sometimes.

That's not the way I remember it. Does anyone have the clip I could watch? If there were only 6 seconds on the shot clock I would change my opinion. Regardless, I don't put the weight on his shoulders. I just recall it as a regrettable shot and a mistake in a key situation.

I spent about 5 minutes looking and only highlights and had to watch Drew bagging Groceries Nicholis 10x, thanks
Thanks a lot fellas for getting me freaking depressed again!!
I looked at the box score to get the time. I was also there. Plus I remember what Brownell said about it. He took up for his player, not worrying about the heat he got for not calling a timeout.
