Its hard to remember the last Blazer who could consistently shoot from the perimeter. Not sure I will be comfortable with such a threat in green and gold (instead of green and fold). Maybe this Is a bad idea. Think of all the potential negatives.

UAB might exceed expectations and have to play deeper into the season. That might disrupt my 2021 March calendar

I might actually miss a shot while waiting in line for popcorn. It might take a long time to weave my way through the crowd and back to my seat and my popcorn might get cold. Trust me, these things used to happen at Bartow and there is real danger of it happening again.

Someone really tall might sit in front of me and I might have to stand up to see Ertel make his sixth three of the game. It might cause me to flash back to watching Carter Long or maybe that new, bald guy coaching our team shoot- making me feel old. Definite danger of that happening.

Tickets might be harder to find. Or prices might increase.

Someone else might be sitting in my favorite empty section.

The crowd might get too loud for my aging ear drums.

Bartow Arena might be too hot with 6,000 people in regular attendance.

Someone might show up to the game wearing a shirt with War Eagle or Crimson Turd. They might sit near me.

I might have to wait in line to get into Bartow. Or Parking may be harder to find. I might have to walk further from the parking spot.

If we start winning regularly, expectations may increase. We might be expected to win championships again. Oh the pressure. Its been so easy to not have to worry about winning championships.

The season might be longer. Who has time for that?

This recruiting of highly talented players, with a drive to win, must stop...or everything about UAB basketball as we know it today may change.

Everything! :)

Just look at what has happened in UAB football since we brought in FBHC Clark. We have the first new facilities, first division championship, first C-USA Championship and now we have fans EXPECTING TO WIN 8 OR 9 GAMES. What a time of adjustment!

Look i think this kid might add some leadership and be good coming off the bench but those stats posted by Lairdweller do not reflect a great shooter. Heck Bryant hit 33% from 3pt range. And another poster was correct about this kid having a awkward shot. Hopefully we will be much better at setting screens. He will need it to get that shot off. This is not to say he isnt a good get just saying everyone should calm down on how great he is....for now anyway.
His assistant coach was hired by UAB.

Maybe Kennedy should have hired the Ramsay coach.
Marshall Henderson shot 34% from 3, 37% from FG, 85% at the line. Not much difference.

Ertel will be the starting 2 guard. Lovan at the 3.
yeah he got a weird shot...

oh wait, what's this?

Guard chose UAB over interest from Ohio State, Illinois, Butler, Auburn, Creighton, Georgia, Arkansas, Memphis.

Nicholson, Ard, Gordon? Landing at least one JC or transfer post player would be nice.
I'm thinking that the coaches have also noticed that we need bigs.

Seriously
As long as we have 5 3 pt shooters on the court we should be fine.

Hard to be worse than last year

It semi works in Houston for the rockets, but I don't see a Westbrook or harden on our roster and dantoni coaches against us.
It’ll be better than the last 4 years when we had hardly any three point shooters at all..

Mrs. Ehsan?
Just let it go please. All of you.

He shot .444 from three the previous season, and is a career .380. And he got off 21 attempts in a single game. He’ll be just fine.

He’s a day one starter, and he’s probably our leading scorer next season.
Looks like he was their only scorer.
His shooting percentage and efficiency falling off can be explained by the total volume of shots he was taking and how much he was probably being asked to do on the court, being their best player and leader.. shooting 38% with that number of attempts is not that bad. He will be one of our best players, if not the best, on day one. Maybe our new system can help improve his efficiency and shooting percentages from last season. I’m very happy with this addition to the team

ULM won 9 games last year... He was probably being asked to do a ton to try and salvage a bad team. Hopefully with a better all around team, system, and coach, he can raise the efficiency and shooting numbers.. but they aren't bad numbers as they stand.
