The whispers and rumors have begun.. Football in the spring of 2021??? wow that would be interesting... I would worry about natural surface fields holding up in the spring. I guess some football is better then no football right.
If there is no NFL season does the draft order stay the same for the next season??? If so the LOLions could end up with Trevor Lawerence.
If you are in the area support local businesses when you can. Powell's has their food menu and arbor brewing will deliver food and beer! we want a viable beautiful depot town when this all ends.
Thank you to all those who are working.
On a non-sports happy note, per CNBC, it appears that new cases of COVID-19 are flattening in Europe or reaching a peak or apex or maybe asymptote.

If this is true, Europe first and U.S.A later. We need to get new cases close to zero before we can figure out which is next...
Caesars sets EMU Football O/U wins at 4. Definitely low in my (albeit biased) book.

The MAC win totals make no sense to me.

No MAC team to win 8 games????
O/T Al Kaline RIP.
I don't watch professional rassling (or even collegiate wrestling), but I saw on ESPN that they apparently had WrestleMania with no fans.

I wonder if this is kind of a 'pre-test' for other pro events. Test the players, coaches, officials, etc. and play before 0 fans.

I think it’s about right. 3-5 wins seems like a safe bet, considering our schedule and the potentially porous defense. Obviously these variables can change, especially the schedule. But right now, I this makes the most sense.

Agree...…..We better score a lot of points! QB has to play great this upcoming season!
Also we might only play 8 games LOL
A lot of classic videos are being posted on the EMU Athletics YouTube page. This is one of my favorites.

I just watched the first half. Great interview.

I see a lot of interviews on TV these days and most I learn very little. This is a great, informative interview.

Art Regner deserves kudos also for good questions.

For those who do not understand Title IX, Jim said in the early 70s we had women's CLUB sports. No women's varsity sports.
What has happened to Oakland's MBB program? Seems to have gone south...

A college coach who resists change and remains stuck in his ways is not going to succeed in his later years. Bob Knight? The Boeheim/Murphy zone? WMU Hawkins?

Kampe emphasizes scoring the ball, attractive to current recruits. He, however, also plays a short roster thus a lot of recruits are required to sit on the bench waiting for their chance to play. Again let's face it the world has changed. Quality kids are not going to wait for their chance to play and great players are not likely to continue their play in front of less than 3K fans every night when they think they might be able to play in front of 10K+ and get the national exposure of such.

The Kampe formula worked well for awhile, it no longer does nor does the "old boy network" of MAC West coaches.

OMG. Leaving Bowen was hands down, the BIGGEST mistake in EMU sports history. Why why why do we keep pretending that the Convo is suitable for EMU basketball? Swallow your pride, refurbish Bowen and bring basketball back! Keep booking concerts and graduations at the convo and keep making that money, the practice facility is 100% first class so we will still get our bang for our buck that way. GREAT VIDEO Nickle...(also reopen the Wooden Nickle and Spaghetti Bender too). Make EMU great again.04-cheers

Wow. You are really bringing back the past, but not realistic.

Tom Ciccarelli owned the Spaghetti Bender but he has been deceased for some time (believe it was around 2000).

Bob, the world doesn't stand still and we can't relive the past.

Tom was a good guy and I believe he once filled in and substitute taught a class I had in Strong Hall. Thursday night at the Bender, best times ever. In fact, that is where I watched the Sweet 16 game vs UNC! So much fun. Best place in town. We also had the Nickel and Theo's and if you couldn't find fun in Ypsi at that time, you weren't trying.

And we WON MAC championships in football and basketball! Happy Easter and Happy Passover to everyone on this board!
