Um... guys

04-rock
And the continued good news of this Fick-build team ends when?
Nice!

Seems like he's just messing around. No commit yet but got my attention.
If I had to make a guess, I think it's between us and Michigan at the moment, and I'm leaning here...normally I'm the pessimistic one in recruitment type conversations too.
I jumped the gun LOL. Thanks Mark! Looks like maybe down to the Cats and the Tigers?
Not that it means anything is final but Coach Fick, Coach Denbrock, Coach Freeman, Coach Enos, and Coach Guidugli all retweeted the Prater/Kiner tweet. If only the football gods would...
Not saying he isn't coming, but kids like to do this stuff with all their schools of interest. Especially now that they have nothing else to do but sit around and post on Twitter lol. Bssed on absolutely 0 insider knowledge, my gut says we are about a 70/30 lean right now. I think Michigan is second in line and LSU and UL could be a wildcards. OSU is probably out from both parties at this point.

He also posted the same with Florida. I think he’s just playing around, but we seem to be right there!
Who is he?

Apparently he is a kid who runs faster than people on the other team.
Tavion is a better running back. love the family and I want him to make the best decision for him

Well, he's certainly faster than the guys from Norwood and Madiera.

It would be nice if he came here if only to keep that local momentum going. However, if he shuns us for a P5 its not a big deal.

RB's are basically just functional parts in today's game. The days of the Barry Sanders' are over.

RB's are needed to get the offense 3-4 yards at a time to get into a favorable passing situation. Then you use your RPO QB to pick apart the defense or throw it to the WR or TE... which are now the main priorities. That's why Warren was such a gem.

It would be great to steal one from the P5 and brag about it, but it not we're still good.
He's just enjoying his recruitment process.

That said, being in Cincinnati while recruiting is officially nixed has to play to our favor. As it stands now, he's been to UC a bunch of times and there is simply no path for another school to bring him in for a momentum changing last visit.

Imagine where we would be if the Coronavirus broke out a few years ago and Joe Burrow never made a visit down to LSU?
That was just mean spirited...lol

Like Michael Warren who averaged 4.8 yards per carry, 7.3 yards per reception and led the team with 16 TD's last year.
As others have stated, whether Kiner signs with UC or not, recruiting has moved light years ahead of the Tuberville era in a relatively short time.

Anyone think Kiner would be considering UC if Fickell had gone to MSU? My guess is Luke turning down Michigan State effectively inoculated a lot of blue chip recruits who thought he was simply passing through Cincy on his way back to the B10. That has to be helping his coaching staff out on the road in the tri-state area and around the nation.

And if you go back and read some of Fickell's comments from the past two postseasons, he's walking the walk after talking the talk by saying (paraphrasing a little), "who would want to play here if we weren't winning and I wasn't in demand in the profession?".

We're living the dream right now after back to back 11 win seasons and Fickell not leaving after that is a sea change for UC recruiting and Bearcat football generally. Who knows how long that might last? None of us probably. But MSU was a big job for him to turn down, so maybe he's going to stay and build a little more here. Two or three more years could change the trajectory of our football program for a decade to come.

I believe I acknowledged that Warren was exceptional.

I think its pretty safe to say that any OC out there would be satisfied with a RB that averages anything over 3 yards a carry.
