Is this really where his priorities should be? Why is he tweeting this crap?!? Well, congratulations Mr. President, you're on par with "The Bachelor." 03-banghead

“President Trump is a ratings hit. Since reviving the daily White House briefing Mr. Trump and his coronavirus updates have attracted an average audience of 8.5 million on cable news, roughly the viewership of the season finale of ‘The Bachelor.’ Numbers are continuing to rise...

There’s an underlying point. If his approval numbers are up, it’s because people are at home watching him speak directly to them rather than reading one liners that mislead the public when they get home from work.

If they see transparency, him and the task force force giving an update daily. It shows the effort and seriousness being taken to get things under control. Each of them look sleep deprived in each of their briefings. We’ve tuned in everyday at our house.

Just going out to liberal networks and spewing “100k-200k deaths” because you know the audience will bite and run with it, makes Fauci a POS.

Welcome back momus
Pandemic aside, there’s still an election coming and the facts are that while the entire country is tuning into President Trump and liking what they are hearing, biden is no where to be found.

Get ready for 4 more years.
They know Biden is incompetent and their newest Hope is that there is so much death related to this virus that negligence becomes impeachable. Like we said, there’s no low democrats want stoop to, to gain or stay in power. I’m sick of it.

Lots of people who support Trump hate his tweets. But its clear he can competently use twitter and hold pressers with ease. Also, his tweets aren't policy.
Unfortunately Trump will have many ignorant people that will vote for him. Fortunately, there's not enough of them.
So what. It seems a decent amount of people watch.
Whether you like Trump or not I don't see how having these daily briefings is a bad thing. I used to laugh at the whole TDS thing, but I was wrong there is a very large segment of the left who would literally vote for anyone on earth no matter how evil to get Trump out of office. These are the same people that view pre-2016 America as the "good ole days" and have no understanding of the real difficulty millions in this country were and still are facing.

What's amazing is how many ignorant people there are that believe the MSM and the whole Russia hoax and the Kavanaugh sexual assault hoaxes (there were many and only one that wasn't obviously a hoax). I'm just amazed how stupid and gullible people are.

And some of them still don't realize what idiots they are.

It took me a few months, but then I realized why people were supporting Trump. There is a vast swath of America that was ignored by both parties for 30 years. Almost no Democratic leader seems to have a grasp of that (Bernie isn't a Democrat).

They call people who support Trump ignorant, but its they who continue to be ignorant of the world outside their bubble.

I agree. I think Bernie and Trump are the only 2 national political figures who even understand that there's a gigantic group of people in this country who feel like no party represents them.
All Presidents see their approvals rise in the initial throws of taking on a unifying, common enemy. We’ll see where they are 6 months from now.

The people will realize that the democrat prog filth party is useless.

Biden wont have the first clue where he is in 6 months.

I think the daily briefings are a great thing, and should continue. (Though I will add that I believe the President should stick with introducing the experts and then keep quiet, due to his tendency to get "loose" with facts.)

My problem with this tweet is it shows that the President is concerned with his TV Ratings. That's fine when you're headlining "The Apprentice", but not when you're supposed to be leading the fight against a global pandemic. The President's TV Ratings (or even his Approval Ratings) should not be on the list of Top 1,000,000 things that should be on the President's mind right now. Once we get through the pandemic, and the economic crisis we're facing, then tweet away about the fact that as many people watched the daily briefings as watched "The Bachelor". (Now the fact that there are as many people paying attention to "The Bachelor" as there are people paying attention to the daily coronavirus briefing is another sad issue altogether...)
Again, you can’t take everything he says literally. The point of the tweet is people are tuning in to hear the ‘facts‘(which the MSM refuses to share) from him and his task force. On a normal day, the average citizen dont have the opportunity to hear or watch him live. These briefings are doing well for keeping the calm and assuring citizens. Since he is benefiting from it in an election year. NBC, MSNBC, CBS, and CNN don’t want these briefings being televised because they know they can’t distort what he says when folks see him live.

We are 3 years in, there’s an underlying reason for everything he tweets or says, no matter how out of this world it is. If folks don’t get his schtick by now.... it’s gonna be a long next 5 years.
I'm obviously not a Trump fan and desperately want him to be a 1-term president. I'm not thrilled with our likely candidate against Trump, but nothing I can do about that.

However if Trump does win re-election, the one thing I hope he gets out of this is to not ignore science and scientists. I'm more impressed with Pence than with Trump during this emergency because he sticks to facts and practices that help, rather than Trump arbitrarily throwing out Easter Sunday as a possible day of ending social distancing, possibly quarantining 3 states (glad he was overruled there - basically those states are on complete lockdown anyway - no reason to kick them in the nuts while they're already down), calling governors infantile nicknames because they're desperate and worried for their constituents, etc.

Liberty University decided they would be the one university in the country to abandon science and reason, and asked some of its students to return to campus last week. Now some of them are sick with the virus.

We know Pence and Dr. Birx as far as how they’ve represented themselves through out all of this, have been brilliant. Knowing this, MSM media cuts away when they speak to keep there from being a sign of Good cohesion within the task force.

The fact that these two statements don't align with each other is a problem for me. (Yes, I know I took out a part of your second sentence for effect.) The part of your second sentence that I removed is important..."to hear the facts from [...] the task force." (And yes, I'm removing the President from that statement.)

That's why I said I wish the President would do little more than introduce the experts. The public does need facts, and we need to get them from the experts. The fact that we can't take the President "literally" on coronavirus is an issue, especially when large numbers of the American public do take the President "literally" while believing that some of the experts standing behind him are part of the Deep State and working to sabotage our country.

Yes, I’d like to see him speak less, mainly because he’s getting dumb@ss questions and feels the need to respond.
