Saw this on another site. Hockey uses a pairwise system that is very precise.
In April, get the six league champions at one site, like Engelstad Arena. and play five games.
The matchups would be
5. Penn St vs 4 Boston College
Winner vs #1 North Dakota
3. Cornell vs 6 American International
Winner vs #2 Minn St-..Mankato
Would be broadcast for other TV Events that are canceled.
I like the concept, but it looks like schools are taking the approach that they don’t want their student-athletes traveling like that, even without fans.
Nope. Postpone the regularly-scheduled games for a time. If it seems okay, play them. If we're still in a pandemic, then cancel them.
The NCAA jumping to immediate cancellation instead of simply delaying them for a time is very odd.
If I'm in that field, I'm saying no for safety reasons. Not because of the coronavirus, but because I'd be worried the goon squad UND rolls out would concuss my players.

When a team injures the key offensive personnel purposely and there is a reponse, that isn't called goonery by any hockey fan. The original attack is goonery. The UND defense is highly skilled and are often draft choices.
Four of those six schools have already closed campus and sent all students, faculty, and staff home for the year. You want them to call back their men's hockey teams to practice, along with all coaches and support staff, plus the campus staff to man a dorm and a cafeteria, etc. until they play in April?
You are delusional.

This has all been recent after I posted. Everything is delusional apparently.
Know UND is converging to online courses for couple weeks.

If this was done sooner, Cornell would've played. Cornell was going to keep playing until the tournament was cancelled despite the school shutting down.
