US military chief: 'Weight of evidence' that Covid-19 did not originate in a lab

Wait. So it is a wild conspiracy theory to suspect that a random large-scale outbreak in South Dakota, of a disease that originated China, at a Chinese run plant may have been the result of interaction with, or travel to and from, China? I have no idea whether the outbreak there is related to the Chinese ownership of Smithfield, but I sure don't see how it is a theory that is deserving of ridicule.

It has now been revealed that patient Zero in Wuhan was a lab worker. Doesn't mean the virus originated in a lab, but this theory is also not worthy of ridicule.

No, that's almost plausible, but it's Ever, so I knew, and his next link confirms, exactly what he meant.

But I think we could all agree that unprotected workers working in close proximity is probably an even more reasonable explanation for that outbreak.

Why do we refuse to Listen to the smartest people in the country? Scientists have shot down this man made theory.

The virus was not lab created, I agree. This doesn't conflict with today's story.

Nobody is saying it was man made. All kinds of natural viruses live in that lab. The lab is there to study them. Only question is whether it was accidental or intentional. Seems to have been sent all over the world... except Beijing and Shanghai ironically.

Alright fellas, I'm out. Still essential to the economy in the morning. It's been fun.

Have fun storming the castle!
Adam Housley now the first I have seen say that it was in fact potentially lab created. Not sure what his sources are and waiting to see if anyone else picks this up.

This is one of those things that I just don't get. Why are people drawing such a hard line on this? Why is this a topic that people have strong feelings about, either way. It doesn't effect our lives any differently whether it started in a lab and escaped or started in a wet market. It matters to our government, but that is for them to worry about.
Mine is just the overall point. We dont believe our scientist, but we are willing to believe random twitter ramblings. If scientists change their stance, sobeit but it reminds me of the meme:

“the CDC has been warning us about Covid for weeks, but my straight C high school friends have been telling me its no big deal and its just the illuminati”.

Just as bad. I'm one of those weird centrist dudes who puts fox and CNN in the same buckets, who thinks occupy Democrats and Alex Jones deserve each other. I really do strive for the least biased sources.
If China lied about the scope of the problem and number of deaths, surely they will lie about the origins of disease. Especially if it accidentally escaped from some lab. I thinks its very likely thats exactly what happened. Especially so now that legit news sources and our European allies are starting to report that is a distinct possibility too.

If Fox and CNN are saying the same thing though (albeit with different spin), there is probably some truth. At the very least, the Government seems to be investigating the possibility that the outbreak originated (not necessarily created) from the virology lab. I hope China was not malicious... I have an 11 year old son and last thing I want is a long world war... but there is certainly a possibility, maybe remote, that they may have launched a bio attack, especially with the trade issues that have been in the background.
