While I have become a fan of Clemson football, I’m not gonna lie, when the Notre Dame students rushed the field after wining the game, I took great joy in college kids being college kids.
It will take Gov. Moonwalk far more time than most (he having been born without a spine), but we thankfully have at last contained the virus - - or at least its political usefulness.

Looking forward to a much better 2021!

How dare you celebrate that super spreader event. We don't even know who they voted for.

They must have been Democrats because they were all wearing masks. 05-stirthepot
Okay. Carry on then. Definitely was a sanctioned event.

So, Utah Governor now says it's against the law to hang out with someone from outside your household, and Biden is going to try to enforce a mask mandate on the interstates. I can't imagine why anyone would disagree with the powers-that-be.

I am going to make a prediction.

By December/January, cases will again be trending down. Biden will come into office, talk big about how he is going to defeat the virus, deploy his unenforceable mask mandate, push for some more lock downs, etc as the cases are already on the way down. Then by Feb/March cases will be low again, the vaccine will be rolling out, and Biden and the media/DNC propaganda machine will declare that Biden has defeated the virus.
Sounds entirely plausible to me.

That definitely sucks for Utah. I am truly sorry that the people of that state must now adhere to stricter policies. Things have definitely regressed. I hope it doesn’t come to that in Virginia.

The Biden mask mandate would be for interstate transportation, not interstates. Planes, trains, buses, etc. Most of which already have their own mask mandates.

True statement. That is hypocritical.

Considering this virus will still be around long after Biden has served as president, I don’t think anyone will be taking credit for defeating the virus. But when (and I hope it’s when and not if) we get back to somewhat normal lives with minimal to no restrictions, then we can breath a sigh of relief. But I don’t think any one person, politician, or party should take credit for any progress we make. I know history will want to declare someone to be the protagonist but there will be way too many contributors to any success we have. As Trump said, “there’s good people....on both sides”.
Oh but they will. It's already beginning. CNN took the ever persistent COVID counter off the screen today. Why do you think that is? What significant thing happened recently that might have made them think they no longer needed to constantly remind everyone about how scary COVID is?

Surely you don't think it’s implausible that someone who would like the authority to enforce a National mask mandate would take the “interstate transportation” and use it as much as he can, including on interstate highways, right?

Not implausible, but also not likely. I think common sense would prevail. But I can understand how you feel it will not. Lawmakers seem to have an aversion to common sense.

I haven't watched CNN much lately, but I haven't seen the counter up consistently in quite a while. I don't think they just took it off today. Even if they did, I don't think that is declaring it dead. They still talk about it, it's just the election coverage is the big story now.
A member of Biden's task force has the answer to our COVID problem.

Basically, "Americans have saved too much money during the pandemic. We can 'borrow' it from ourselves and pay people to lose their jobs and give it to 'city, state, and county governments.'"

A more detailed explanation. It sound theory to me. Without intervention we're on pace to nearly double the total fatalities thus far by the spring. Uncoordinated or half assed lockdowns like we had in the spring aren't going to be as effective and this time follow up with an actual national plan to track and keep cases low.

He seriously advocated for the government to pay people to lose their jobs. Will he volunteer to be first? Furthermore, based on what authority does the federal government have to right to tell me I can't leave my house?

Frankly, I'm all for them trying to do this. Good luck. I'm certainly not going to comply, and I have reason to believe, I won't be the only one.
