Many programs have already cancelled their spring game. Not sure about practices. They could move all that to May if need be.
As of right now, there has been no announcement of the canceling of practices or events.

Unless something has updated since I got online, it's apparently still a go.

Wolo said on the radio that the fan day and the April 17 Friday Night Lights were cancelled, but that he had no word on spring practice itself.
It's official.

All Tigers athletics shut down for the rest of spring. No baseball, no softball, no spring game, nothing.
If they do practice then I assume there will be no media coverage.
They'll do practices. They'll also have a "spring game" it'll just be at the complex on a random day. However, that trip to Nashville won't happen this year.

Smart to reduce opportunities for the virus (which will take 9+ months to develop, test, then widely manufacture) to spread. Especially with very few test kits available.
Ohio health officials announced Thursday that the state has five known cases of the coronavirus, but one expert said that the number is likely much higher and estimated 100,000 undiagnosed cases.
Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the state’s health department, told reporters that the virus is “among us, but we can’t see it yet,” WBRB reported.

Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, tweeted her comment to his followers, warning the state’s 11.7 million residents that about 1 % are infected. There is much to learn about COVID-19 and how exactly it is transmitted. Virologists point out that the virus is particularly difficult because people infected may have very few symptoms
This virus is most serious for the elderly and medically compromised. The average age of coronavirus death is 80. It is serious. However, NBA and NCAA are MOST DEFINITELY over reacting. this is unnecessary panic.

I agree why should us young folks stop doing stuff...

If we get and spread it to the old folks...Too bad. Time to thin the herd right...Old folks are just takers who are hurting our economy...right

And does CNN and MSNBC broadcast in China?

That’s what China, Italy and S Korea thought also. Don’t confuse highest risk demographics with overall spread rates.
