Publicly, people are railing against the virus and that we aren't doing enough to help those most vulnerable. I suspect privately, there are people in power today who wish this virus was not being addressed.

Maybe it's just idle conspiracy theory from musing over what we know about the virus, but it has the appearance of a designed virus meant to target specific groups of people - people who are currently strains on healthcare systems, pension plans, gov't run retirement plans like SSI and the like. I know it sounds like an Infowars wild assed conspiracy...but it does make you wonder if this was an attempt to cull the oldest of our population in order to stretch financial resources over a longer time horizon.
As a Bernie supporter who currently hates Boomers I kinda approve of his conspiracy theory.

I always laugh at the insufferable brats who as a collective generation require safe spaces and participation trophies when they show their disdain for boomers.

That's kind of like throwing out the Nazi or racist claims. Means you have lost the argument.04-cheers
Germany is taking this approach. Will be interesting.

Germans have never been too averse to culling certain parts of their population.
You young dudes need to be more careful. We older peeps have more money, better insurance, and more patience. And more guns.
Oh my.... The wheels have officially come off.
We have a conspiracy theorist in the office.

Doesn't own a gun.. Doesn't know how to shoot a gun... Trying to stock up on supplies..

Asked me this morning could he borrow a gun in case this whole thing goes off the rails..

I said sure, what kind would you like and what type of ammo..

Well any gun, they're all the same right, you got one of them ARs? I'll take a spare AR if you have one... I said yea sure, you want the one with the chainsaw attachment? Then he got mad cause I was making fun of him.. F'em if they can't take a joke.

That's an oxymoron as Bernie is a boomer, no?
I kinda like the chainsaw option. When cutting down trees in the forest preserves I need to keep the beavers from stealing my trees.

I hate when woodchucks start chucking my wood..
This post is gold.

Bernie supporters are the biggest idiots I've ever seen. So, where's that 60T for his programs gonna come from? Oh, you're gonna tax the corporations and the wealthy? Oh, the ones who can afford to move elsewhere this leaving you with a hollowed out shell of a country where you get zero? Ok.
I'm not even a Boomer (born in 78) but you damn woodchucks need to quit chucking my wood!

You mean, like they've done everywhere else that has tried that?

It does sort of seem like a weaponized virus that got out... who knows what to believe.

Seems to me the older generation could have done a little better at instilling some of those better principles in the next one, no?

Gen Xers told their boomer parents to **** off and let them raise their own kids. Can't lay but so much of the lack of principles in the millennials on their grandparents.

I struggle with this as a Gen Xer married to a millennial and raising a child. There is a stark difference in the way I was raised versus my wife when it comes to children. My parents are in the mid to late 60's and my wife's parents are in their late 50's.
