Any info on his 40 time?
Hasn’t finished yet.
Quinton Jackson, WR from North Crowley in the Fort Worth area just committed.

Offers from all three service academies, Marshall, and New Mexico.
Second recruit of the day. Mohammed Bility, 2022 DB from Dallas. This basically confirms that Bloomgren is staying for another year. No chance that two kids would commit at this point in the process with any possibility of the coach not being around next year.

Looking at 24/7, it looks like we had two "hard commits" for the class of 2022 this past spring and two in June. Will be good to track over the next six months for the class of 2023 to determine how Bloomgren's (apparent) lame duck year is affecting that recruiting class.
As someone on Twitter pointed out, one would hope that Mohammed goes by Mo (Mo Bility)

No one is following these recruiting threads anymore. I think interest in Rice football has officially tanked. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost the four commits we have.

Bloomgren better forget about signing many freshmen. He needs to mine for some developed bodies in the juco ranks and transfer portal. Planning for the future is over. The program is in crisis. He better find out real quick how to find great talent and how to coach.

We've been bouncing on the bottom of the tank for years. Marginally worse now than end of Hat or Bailiff
It's the depressing part about Bloomgren still having the job. I love looking through the transfer portal, for example (clear from the basketball threads), but have utterly no desire to do so right now because it's hard to imagine that anybody we add will make a difference. Feels like there's no reason to care about recruiting or transfers because it's like bailing water out of a canoe with a two-foot hole in the bottom.

The reason we have a two foot hole in our canoe is that somebody pounded the rock.

You can just look and see if Stanford has some guys grad transferring out. If so, we'll try to pick them up.

It's a futile attempt. It won't work out. Karlgaard must be fired after next season.
We need OL... BAD. If we don't pick up anyone else in the portal, it should be OL

Yeah it'll take something close to a miracle to piece together a capable OL. We lose almost everyone. This year's line was supposed to be great, but it was awful. Now we've got to plug holes and hope they can work as a unit.

Not exactly. As of today, we return 4 of the 5 starters from the Louisiana Tech game (everyone but Woolford - Garcia didn't start that game). I'm assuming Klarkowski is back after missing pretty much the last 8 or 9 games too?

Don't get me wrong - they need to get a lot better and we could probably use another grad transfer or two (the ones we've gotten from the Ivy League have actually been pretty good), but Nutter and Pepe (sp?) showed some promise as freshmen in particular.
