JMU should be driving to the rim early and often to get Hofstra in foul trouble. Hofstra plays 5 guys as much as possible and has no depth with bench contributions rated last in the country. Mihalich has always coached this way. He will keep his best on the court no matter how tired they get. He defense suffers, but the offense benefits.
While the Dutchmen are in first place, they are not a great team. Just simply the best of a crappy CAA this year. There is no reason JMU can’t win this game with personnel every bit as good as Hofstra.

I did not realize 2-15 JMU had something to play for. If they upset Hofstra, then they avoid being tied for the worst conference record in JMU history. The 2005-2006 team finished 2-16, but that was a much higher rated CAA including ODU, VCU, and George Mason in the conference.
This year’s team certainly doesn’t want to be known as the worst. Maybe they will suddenly stumble into basketball IQ.
