Dare I say it? Does he have a role in the league the way he has developed this year?

6'9 guy who can defend 3-4 positions, an elite rebounder, good passer, athletic, can hit open shots, even developed some ball handling skills. There may be a bench role somewhere for a guy like him. Crazy
He will definitely get a chance. Probably be in the G league to start
They said on the Ocho no Bearcat has had a 20-20 game since KMart. I thought Scott might hit that mark, but regardless, what a couple monster games from him.
He had to open some eyes tonight. I think he has a shot. He's a smart kid too - working on his Master's. He does a lot of things really good and now throw in a developing trey shot. You want to root for a guy like him who's continued to work hard, embraced the new coach/system, and has elevated his overall game in his Senior Year. In particular, he's playing some of his best basketball late in the season. I believe he had his 9th double double and 6th of the last 10 games. Also, back to back games scoring 25 points. No time like the present.
Oh, good. We like him again. Seems we had a few weeks around here where folks didn’t.

50 and 32 in 2 games tends to have that effect lol...

Truth be told I think everyone has always liked him. Just a little frustration when he can dissapear at times and put up a 3 point stinker. He always gives 100% no matter what though
Even in this game Tre had a few possessions back to back where he let Memphis players go right past him for offensive rebounds and baskets. Though that may have partly been exhaustion from all those minutes he logged.
C'mon. This is Bearcat Banter. Someone has to carry the fans' torch of ire. I'm waiting for Vogt to next get back on the fire wagon LOL.

Seriously, Trey had some clunkers earlier in the season [on the road in particular] but the last 10 games his points and boards alone...

Yea, i love the kid to death, but he has several moments tonight(guy takes ball right out of his hand, dribbles once in a triple team and stops, several guys running right by him, a couple passes to nowhere) where you wonder what he's doing other than thinking way to much. Have to admire his work ethic though. He goes right back to work. Has the attitude of a nice lion.
Also, I know this is a minor thing, but.... it says a lot about a man's character that both of his little sisters followed him 700 miles away from home to UC.

UC WBB now 16-7 and tied for second. With UGonn WBB leaving perhaps in the future we could get to the top.
No matter the situation, I never get crabby about Tre Scott. That man seems like good people.

When he plays well, people like him. When he don't, people don't. That's just the way it goes. Just ask Desmond Ridder.

I just think people (me) get frustrated with his lack of consistency and some of the bonehead plays he makes for being a senior. If he eliminated some of those, shot better at the line, and learned to box out a little more (all things that can easily be improved) there is no doubt in my mind he would be an All-American. He has that kind of talent.
Tre played 41 minutes last night. When you extend player's minutes you're going to get a couple of those mistakes due to fatigue. Hopefully Dou can get it going again so we can get Tre a little more rest.
I think tre struggled a ton early with the new defensive and offensive systems. I think he was thinking a lot and not reacting. Game seemed to fast for him at times in the nonconference. He's been great for a month plus now. He's done it all. He's also making open threes which is huge for us.

Yep, he was nothing short of dominating last night and really did it all. Our remaining opponents will likely have to come out and guard him beyond the arc and that should open up the inside game for Vogt and others.

I don't think we'll see as dominant a guy on the inside as Prince is--at least the rest of the regular season. That was a very important victory as UC now has beaten all the contenders: Houston, Memphis, Tulsa and WSU. I'll start worrying about ECU now as the 'Cats have had two very physical overtime games back to back. A loss down there would be devastating for all this team has accomplished.
He’s now averaging 10.6 PPG and 9.9 RPG.

Who was the last UC player to average a double-double?

Eric Hicks averaged 15 pts and 9.7 reb senior year. So you could round up to 10. Kenyon Martin averaged 18.9 pts and 9.7 reb senior year. He was actually averaging over 10 reb before the SLU game but only played a few minutes with not stats in the SLU game so dropped his average down.

Other than that, I believe you would have to go back to Pat Cummings.
As opposition focuses on and started to double on Vogt then Tre has more opportunities to score, and he is doing that.
Will someone tell Vogt to abandon that ugly /inefficient/sidedaddle FT move.
