The Golden Flashes have the week to refocus, rebound and regroup before hosting the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday. KSU is still well within striking distance of a tournament bye. What do you think top two or three the priorities need to be this week and/or what changes would you like to see the Flashes make heading into the home stretch?
We need to wok on passing and ball movement. Create open space. This team has enough talent to win when playing as a team. At the Mid level you have to force the opponent to exert themselves by them playing defense for the entire possession.
With seven MAC games to play the Golden Flashes are basically one game back from a bye in the first round of the MAC tournament. It would seem to me that going 4-3 would muddy the waters and at best give the good guys a shot to be in the tie - breaker discussion. So the goal has to be 5-2 down the stretch to guarantee a spot on the floor at Rocket Mortgage Field Center (or whatever).
The best path looks like this...

Gotta beat Miami, Eastern Michigan and Ohio (at home). Those three are bottom of the barrel, got to beat them. That leaves road games at Ohio and Akron and a home date with BGSU. Win one of those, it could be close. Win two and I think the Flashes will be playing on Thursday.
Not sure it even matters at this point. Team is far too erratic and unpredictable to be considered a contender - with or without a bye.

Too many deeply-rooted issues among personnel to be cured in a week. Add to that OU and EMU are playing their best basketball of the season and Kent is averaging 65 points a game since mid-January and you have very little reason to be optimistic.
I do not disagree but I am not quite as pessimistic as you are. No doubt, we are good enough to beat anyone if we play well. I am hoping that this bye week gave us a chance to re charge. Our seniors must step up and be leaders and play like seniors. Here is hoping.
They cannot lose to Ohio at home.
If your looking for something romantic to do this evening, pour your spouse a glass of wine, call out for chinese and watch the Akron/CMU game on ESPNU.
