He played his best game of his Bronco career, don't care what anyone say's if he further develops his game he has a shot in the NBA. Nice win for the Broncos today!
It really just goes to show how we only won 8 games last year. The program did not bottom out last year. Injuries took care of last year. Look how much more competitive we our this year in the MAC. I just wish we had Squeaky out there.

So Johnson is worth 6-8 wins?

IMO, last years injury missing Johnson, Whitens & Moore cost the Broncos 6-8 wins.
Actually last year Having the Brandon Johnson/ Seth Dugan combination alone might have been worth 6-8 wins.
Johnson was great yesterday! Scored 13 in a row at one point down the stretch. They couldn’t stop him. After giving up 9 3s in the first and trailing after we shot 63%, I thought we were toast. Very entertaining, solid game. I thought it was the “funnest” game of the year.
Johnson went on a tear unlike I have seen more than a couple of times at WMU. What made it so unusual is he scored every different way: great post moves, off balance, jump shot, even 3-point shot.
Brandon needs to wear those pink shoes every game ?

Between Brandon's pink shoes and B Artis' bright yellow shoes!!! LOL
I'm starting to have genuine concern we will lose Brandon to a grad transfer next year.

Brandon is also watching his former teammate Bryce Moore be a bench player at Xavier. How exciting is that?

Understood, but I don't think Bryce Moore was ever the caliber of player that Brandon Johnson is proving to be. Admittedly it's a small sample, but that comparison doesn't hold much weight imo.

Moore was our best Defensive Guard, he would be starting over White.

What does that have to do with the conversation? Moore is a fine player. I never said he wasn't. I simply said his decision to grad transfer and the resulting playing time he's received isn't apples to apples to Johnson potentially opting for that route. I hope that Brandon stays, but for any RS Junior playing the way he has, it is at minimum a topic of discussion.

I have been saying this for a month or more now. The way he is playing this season I believe that there will be quite a few teams that would love to have his services next season. I would say there is a 90% chance he leaves at this point and I will raise that to 100% if Coach Hawkins isn't retained. There is no way he would stay and play for a new coach when he could just play for a new coach at a bigger program.
He is better than the 7' Kent center that transferred to Illinois as a grad my guess is he is gone with or with out Hawkins. It is a real MAC problem for any All MAC level player who graduates still having eligibility. It's why BSU best QB played at Vandy last fall & Gilbert was at Kansas St. It sucks!

It is not just a MAC problem. There are hundreds of transfers/grad transfers every season. Everybody thinks the grass will be greener!!
Transferring isn't a bad thing. Players should be free to go where they want. Things change, and sometimes the decision you made at 18 isn't still right for you at 21. We should *get* grad transfers like we do in football. The grass often is greener for certain players. We can offer greener grass to guys who went to power conference schools and found out they weren't going to get playing time.

Agree completely!
Whatever happened to finishing what you start? I know. I'm old!

I think the biggest difference between Moore going to Xavier this year and the potential for Johnson to transfer is the condition of the program.

Writing was on the wall for Moore here... it was going to be another losing season... when he left it was still uncertain how Johnson was going to recover this season...

Next season looks MUCH more promising for Johnson to contribute to a possible MAC contender next season.
