After watching a season of almost no offensive sets, baffling substitution patterns, nepotism, relying on a point guard not playing well because he's like a son, no emotion from the bench, losses to teams we never should, home losses that shouldn't happen, no recruits signed for next year as of now...it's all because of lack of a better assistant?

He needs to sign some talent. Real talent overcomes all problems. Just roll the ball out and let the talent go.

We have no options because we are still paying two coaches $1.5M.

The Tubby hire set this program back 10 years.

We did that this year....hasn't worked yet but it will get better...

I appreciate the optimism but it can't get much worse.

We need a legit mentor for Penny

Honest question: Could Penny handle having someone on staff that everyone knows is a better x's and o's coach than Penny? A good leader places people in place to be good at whatever he or she struggles with. I do not see Penny doing that, and it could be an issue of him not wanting to swallow his pride.

Some of the losers on this board and in this thread wanted us to hire Pearl. It took him 4 years to make the tournament. We had 5 players out today. It is year 2. Our luck has been lousy.

It happens.

He should do the right thing and resign after the season.
