Late first half against #2 UNCheat at Sentara Park, the Good Gals are down 4-2. Tar Holes scored 2 early goals, but then JMU's defense has been pretty strong since then. Just gotta get to halftime within striking distance and don't let UNCheat run away from us.
Final score 15-6 UNC wins.

We beat them twice in close games in 2018. Last year and today though, we really were not competitive.

The Good Gals and Chokies have met 17 times and the ladies in purple have won all 17. That's right...17 and freakin' OH! 9-0 in the 'burg.
In this week's updated Inside Lacrosse poll, the Dukes dropped from 16th (preseason) to a tie for 20th with Georgetown. Buzzards are receiving votes. VPI&SU is 23rd in the coaches poll.
Hopefully, the Dukes keep the streak alive at home this afternoon.
I'm surprised we dropped so far against what is arguably the most talented WLax team in UNC, but whatever. We have plenty of opportunities for signature wins starting today. That 17-0 figure looks real nice, but you know what looks nicer? 18-0
Dukes jumped out to a nice early lead, but it's been all Hokies since. Still close though. Good Gals are down 7-6 w/ 22' left in the game.

Nice win ladies! Hokies are definitely trending upward these past few years. They've been able to compete pretty well with ranked teams outside the top 5-6. May be difficult to continue beating them every year if they continue focusing and improving their program.
I am not sure if it was because of the wet conditions or the fact this was only the second game, but the game seemed extremely sloppy to me. Hopefully as the weather improves, so will our offensive flow.
Looks like the Dukes are up 11-8 over UConn with about 1 minute to go in the game.
