Of you left out the three main areas the country is less satisfied, the environment (-6 points), abortion (-7), and immigration (-6). Funny how the article says feelings are improved overall but mixed, and you left out that second part as well.

I believe that makes the point even more.

1. Pull out of Paris climate change accord - check

2. Dont allow governor blackface to club a baby to death if it gets born before an abortion - check

3. Keep your ass in Mexico for your fake asylum claim - check
These are all dumb polls, and Kronke you did cherry pick the positives here. Frankly it is impossible to be up in everything; however, I think it is better to be up in some more than others.

I honestly don't know what/if the magic bullet will be for people to be happy about the environment. It's not like we just start doing some thing and icebergs stop melting the same day and temperatures moderate instantly. Same thing goes for foreign policy..... No matter what we do, some will be upset with us and some will love us (Just like the 50/50 rule with politics today).

What I do care about, however, is that my personal freedoms are protected and my ability to support myself and my family are maintained or better now than before. It is a very selfish way of looking at it, but in the big picture, you cannot possibly take care of others if you cannot take care of yourself first. It was harder to do that during the Obama years - some of that was out of his control, but not all of it. I do believe he could and should have done much better. There are a lot of wealthy people out there who won't help others and they will exist regardless of how the economy is doing, but when you enable more people, they generally will respond and do the right thing when they have more means to do that.
"On virtually every big indicator..."

Bingo. Nearly 30 categories, only 3 have experienced a decline and all RIGHTFULLY so. Some people can’t put two and two together on the cutting of regulations, less immigration, and how their economic prospects somehow suddenly magically improved.

What I “left out” was Gallup’s (far left outlet) editorialization.
And the ad banner at the top of this page says “thank President obama for helping to defeat Trump”. You can’t make this chit up....
Muh Orange Man Bad
There is a little cherry-picking there, but the underlying point remains the same. The dissatisfied section is interesting, as well as what it says or implies:

"The way income and wealth are distributed in the US" - **** off, income and wealth aren't to be "distributed" They are earned. You want a bigger piece of the pie, make yourself worth more.

66% of liberals are dissatisfied.

"The nation's laws or policies on guns" - I'm a staunch 2A defender and I'm dissatisfied with this right now. "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" What's so damned hard to understand about that. Laws in place are infringing upon 2A rights, and many are not designed to keep weapons out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them but to place undo burden on citizens. EVERYBODY should be outraged at Virginia right now.

61% of liberals are highly dissatisfied, compared to only 2% very satisfied. 23% of conservatives are highly dissatisfied, while 27% are highly satisfied.

"Our system of government and how well it works" - Right now I would say I'm dissatisfied. We need to undo many things that have corrupted our system (the nuclear option) and amend others (term limits for congress). Democrats in the house should largely be to blame for this after being such sore losers, but republicans also shoulder blame.

Pretty even distribution across the board.

"The size and influence of major corporations" - BS. Exercise the power of the purse, but not this stupid "cancel culture" ****. I'd love to hear examples of respondents complaints on this one.

"The state of race relations" - This one I find interesting. Minority unemployment is at record lows. The focus on 'police brutality' has fallen dramatically since Trump has been president. What's driving this?

6% whites and 9% non-whitea re very satisfied. 22% whites and 32% non-whites are very dissatisfied.

43% Democrat party id and 42% liberal ideology are dissatisfied.

"Level of immigration into the country today" - This is a good thing to be dissatisfied in. We need to stop bickering over that simple and undeniable fact that illegal immigration is a problem. Mass legal immigration of unskilled individuals is a problem. Trump is trying, but democrats seems hell-bent on fighting him to the death over his immigration policies.

Republican and Conservatives are most dissatisfied.

"The amount Americans pay in federal taxes" - has this EVER had a positive satisfaction rating?

"The availability of affordable healthcare" - No ****.

Liberals 63% very dissatisfied

"The size and power of the federal govt" - This is a good thing to be be dissatisfied with as long as you think it is too high. I would love to see a breakdown by political affiliation on this one and if democrats really think we need more government.

Pretty evenly dissatisfied across the board

"The nations policy regarding abortion issue" - We appear evenly split. Roughly half of the dissatisfied want more strict laws, and half want laws relaxed.

"The quality of public education" - Return this to the states. The Dept of Education has been a total failure. I am highly dissatisfied.

"The nation's campaign finance laws" I am highly dissatisfied. I would prefer a strict spending limit on all races, the elimination of PACs and corporate donations.

"The moral and ethical climate" - We should all be worried.

Liberals and democrats most dissatisfied.

"The nations efforts to deal with poverty and homlessness" - We should all be dissatisfied, and by large measure we are.

Conservatives love solutions that actually work. Liberals love problems they can exploit but never fix.
