There are going to be a whole bunch of suspensions.
Kansas needs to have a couple players gone for the season
Naw, KU blamed the steal
De Sousa picks up a chair. That will warrant a suspension.
Meh. Xavier/Cincinnati was better.
Where fans involved, who was getting stomped
Leaving bench is suspension?
You have that guy in black and white who appears to be involved a lot. No clue who that is, but it really agitated the situation worse.

You know, this Kansas team at that arena...I'm surprised more teams didn't try that steal and dunk move more after it was done earlier in the season. It's clearly a sore spot for this particular program this year.

yeah was just thinking that. Think it was Monmouth if memory serves me right....

Gonna be a ton of suspensions. De Souza from Kansas probably is done IMO.
you know it's bad when your AD puts out a statement within a hour of the game being over-
Looks like the first punch was thrown by a Kansas State bench player wearing a black warmup shirt, he slugged DeSousa and then at least a few KU players jumped on the K-State guy. Looked like DeSousa waved a chair but didn't hit anyone with it, and his KU teammates who retaliated against the dumb K-State bench player will likely get the longest suspensions.

They might have to do staggered suspensions like they did with the Malice at the Palace, because every bench player from both teams left the bench and even the ones who didn't get involved in the brawl should each get a one-game suspension, with more for each player who was in the scrum.
I saw a Temple-UMass game a while back where a hard foul like that broke a guy's arm. Maybe it's the hockey fan in me, but you have to stick up for your guy in that situation. K-State was well within their rights to react how they did. Sure, both sides should be punished, but De Souza should get it far worse.
This is also the reason why FSU and FAMU never play basketball.

In 1991 FSU and FAMU played, 18 were ejected; 15 for FAMU, 3 for FSU. One interesting note from the article was Sam Cassell was laying on the ground getting punched. I could not find a video of the fight.
the suspensions are out-

Except for DeSousa, the teams got off very easy. Feather-light slap on the wrist. The Love suspension doesn't hurt K-State at all because he's injured (he was the guy in street clothes in the brawl).
It helped that some scrubs were in the game at the time.. De Sousa has played exactly 37 minutes this month in 6 games. McCormack hurts in that he's a normal starter- but even there only 83 minutes in 6 games this month. For KSU like you said Love is hurt and Gordon is like 6th man for KSU(probably the one that hurts the most of anyone.

This article indicates that Love's suspension will not begin until he is medically cleared to play.

Love might graduate or leave school before he's medically cleared to play. Even when he did play, he averaged 3.4 minutes per game. He has scored a total of 16 points in 3 seasons. The conference could have suspended him for 800 games instead of 8 and it still wouldn't have harmed K-State's team.
De Sousa shouldn't have picked up the chair and deserved the suspension but online he was catching some heat for taunting after the block and IMO it's not warranted.

Kansas had the game well in hand and was dribbling out the clock. The K State player stole the ball to make a meaningless play and although I am typically against taunting this would be like taunting a defender who leaped the line to hit the QB on a kneel down and missed. The K State player totally deserved getting taunted.
Love got off easy, imo.
