Didn't know where to post this, so figured it made sense to start an off season thread. Pro Football Focus released their end of season Quarterback rankings for all 130 teams. Crum was 32nd in the previous ranking (after week 12). In their finally rankings he jumped all the way to 11th. Setting up to be a pretty exciting Sr year.

“He enters the 2020 season as hands-down the best returning Group of 5 quarterback.”
That’s some high praise. Amazing how far he’s come!
Yo, yo, yo... the Flashes are above average. Have come a long way. Let's keep it going.

Punter Derek Adams is transferring :(
Hot take - Adams leaving in 2020 is not nearly as big a problem as Adams leaving in 2018/2019 would be.

As long as Crum and his weapons stay healthy.

Ideally we'll find an adequate replacement, but it's nice to know Trickett has already proven to be a capable punter when Adams was out last year. Don't love the idea of potentially overworking Trickett but it's nice to know we've got that option.

We had two other punters on the roster in 2019, including one with JUCO experience. Not sure who we have in the fold for this year though. Adams will be missed!
Sucks losing 2 junior starters that are major contributors. You’d think the way the season ended they’d no be def3ctions like that, but then again the NCAA has opened the door to free agency and poaching players.
From Record Courier:

Lewis also confirmed that running backs coach Macky MacPherson is no longer on the staff.

“We made a change that we felt was necessary,” said Lewis. “We have a good handle on the direction that we’re going to go, and that will come out sooner rather than later.”
It should be noted that Coach Lewis said this about Qwuantrezz Knight leaving:

Quote:Knight played his first season at Kent State in 2019 after transferring from Maryland, and finished with a team-leading 10.5 tackles for loss. He is also eligible to leave as a graduate transfer, but Lewis believes Knight still could return to the Flashes.

“He’s testing the waters, and we’ll see where all of that goes,” said Lewis.
One more note on Crum. PFF also tweeted he was their highest ranked G5 QB in the last 3 years.
Kinda surprising since Josh Allen went top 10 in the 2018 draft.

Good for Crum to be getting NFL buzz.

Josh Allen's college numbers were not very good. In his final season he threw for 1800 yards, completed 56%, and was 16-6 on TDs to INTs. I'm more surprised that he's been pretty good so far in the NFL than I am that Crum scored higher than him.
Congrats to Coach Lewis & the Golden Flashes football team. To be rated #2 among the 77 other head coaches is quite an accomplishment.

I kept scrolling through that list a few days ago and when I made it to the top 10 I wondered if I missed Coach Lewis lol
Nice to get that recognition as its all too easy to plug him in somewhere in the middle of the list. But to be where he is shows obvious knowledge and eyes on him.
I'm sure this is old news to most of you but I just looked at the 2020 schedule.
Penn State,Kentucky AND Alabama.
Why not just get rid of Kennesaw St. and add Clemson or Notre Dame?
It's a GD disgrace .
I checked the OOC schedules of every other MAC team for next year and none of them even
come close to this crap. Absolutely ridiculous.
Agreed. And Kennesaw St. is no joke, they’re one of the top FCS schools and no gimmee as we saw this year.
