I should have been more clear. I don't want him handling the ball at all. If he is driving to the basket, or takes a dribble or two with his back 6' from the basket, that's another story altogether, and I agree.

He definitely has a bad habit of grabbing rebounds and immediately turning and dribbling up court. With how well he played it was easy to just ignore that but he will have to break that habit eventually.

Yeah but that's the "problem". Penny's system encourages that.

It does...And I think it is going to help recruiting but Malcolm has to realize that the only time he should take more than 3 dribbles is if no one else is available and he is not guarded.
If only Penny was as good a coach as mt.org

Yeah and that's a part of what we were agreeing on before. Our bigs bringing the ball up fell under that for me. Wiseman and to a lesser extent Precious are/were fine with that, but the others no so much IMO.

Penny comes here for coaching advice.

I am not a gambler, but this is one of those things that I would be willing "to bet" Penny is telling Dandridge the same thing. On the other hand, I doubt he is telling Precious that. One of the selling points for the 'point forwards' is the option to run up the court with the ball.

He's a really good ball handler for his size, and his form on his shot is really good too. He really can do everything well and will keep improving.

He has been a very pleasant surprise.
