It comes down to one simple thing. They think he will play a lot as a freshman. At all of the other places he is seriously considering, there is no telling.

Its tough for a 6 ft guard to make it in college, almost impossible in the NBA. He will most likely be a 4 year player and he needs to realize where ever he goes, he'll be there a while. I hope he gives Memphis a serious look, but there are several other good, taller alternatives should he head for the hills.

Headed for the hills.

You're assuming Memphis wants to be looked at

Except for Chris Paul (6'1"), Trae Young (6'1"), Kemba Walker (6'1"), Isiah Thomas (5'9") and Kyle Lowry (6'0")among others who are currently on NBA rosters. Heck, the Nets will probably be starting Chris Chiozza (5'11") when play resumes at the end of the month.

The NBA currently can have 450 players
there are 24 listed under 6'1" (6'0" or shorter), that's 5%
and that percentage is going down, not up.

It's not about percentages. It's about who can play. Trae Young is the same height as Chandler and is an All-NBA player in his 2nd year. Being that size can hurt a player on draft night but it's silly to think Chandler can't make a NBA roster.

You sir are correct. Anyone else on here thinking otherwise just doesn't know. Penny wants no part of Kennedy Chandler.

I actually never assumed that he will. I was just pointing out the flaw in your argument 'almost impossible in the NBA' if you are a small guard.

Thank you
Rick Barnes has had more success with smaller guards than Penny. I still can't see UT though

Word on the street is that Ja Morant was 6' going into his senior year.
Another street tells me that Kennedy ain't Ja.

Ja is one of a kind.
He was in Cisses' IG live announcement with a GTG in the chat, not that it means anything just sayin
IKE's source as of last nite still says Memphis
He got some new info from a Dude who knows a Dude who is dating a friend of a cousin's cousin.
I know it's tough for utk fans to connect these dots, Ike even occasionally gets confused.
However the cousin's, cousin's, cousin is calling the Dude a Memphis LOCK
IKE is not calling LOCK at this time, I need to first hear from the cousin's neighbor's sister

We'll see how that GTG stuff lands when he puts on a UTK Vawls hat
I get being upset that he is considering UTK.. But to act like we are too good for the #1 point guard in the class with the pathetic state of last years PG play is crazy
.

Can someone here compare JD Davison to Kennedy Chandler & discuss what are the differences in the potential of each as a PG?
