Abner Haynes remembers feeling tense on the day in 1956 when he arrived by taxi at the North Texas State College football team

I'll explain since its apparent you don't understand. That type of post is called RedNeck Style Hope that helps with your future post. No Need and not many C-USA Members enjoy seeing That Style.
That's a cool article, thanks for sharing it with us.

Come on, man...how is that tooting our own horn? That is a story that a lot of sports fans would enjoy reading, and there was no harm done in posting it on a sports based message board. Chill out a little, and everything will be cool. 04-drinky

I did not say anyone is voting for or against anyone, did I?
The first statement was a ref. that you would be in C-USA soon, don't deny it, I can read between the lines like everyone else. So I repeat, I can count 4 no votes and thats all their needs to be.

I have no idea who is going to be in CUSA. I have my preferences, but I have seen no definitive information either way. All we have seen so far is speculation and conjecture.

No one, not even the reporters making claims for and against schools, know what Mr Ninas (sp?) thinks about the presentations that he has seen. He has not made any sort of final recommendations to the current members of CUSA, so it is a little early to count the votes.

Would I like for Tech to be in? Sure I would. It is extremely nice to be playing in Ruston, Shreveport, Dallas, Tulsa and Houston on a regular basis. These games are very easy to get to via Southwest or a short drive. Don't really care if USM, Marshall, or ECU are in the conference or not. I am not going to these "exotic" locations unless the CUSA championship game is there and Tech is playing. I am interested in attending games vs Memphis, vs Tulane, and vs UAB. Quick easy trips with at least some personal interest.
Well since the Marshall fan went on a tangent in this thread: Beat Troy State and then open your mouth!

That particular Marshall fan's middle name is "tangent" , jgb0607.

He obviously has polled each and every CUSA president because he now knows to the "T" which schools have which votes and from which CUSA presidents.

I am sure CUSA Commish' Banowsky will eventually be naming some CUSA trophy after this loyal CUSA fan; and even more remarkable, this is a fan whose school has yet to play one CUSA athletic event which is still 1 year away.

Most likely whichever school(s) are brought into CUSA will be starting their CUSA elgibility about the same time Marshall begins their own if you think about it.
Now do you people know why I started that "Univ of Marshall" thread? At least the La Tech fans understand.
Green Menace, I have little doubt at all that YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE TECH FANS ARE THINKING.

If you feel the need to hide, that's fine. It's an anonymous message board. But you have to realize that cowards like cowboyfrog and others that pretend to support schools other than their own to push their agenda look like such wussies.

Adler, why are you ragging on me? I happen to be a longtime supporter of North Texas athletics, at least since they moved back into D1A football. I'm also tired of these toothless Marshall fans who put down my University like it was chopped liver. If you're willing to stand by and let them diss NT, then fine. MU fans know squat about NT and only want to bash us.

But know this Adler, I'm a season ticket holder for NT football and not a supporter of La Tech. 03-nutkick
Where have Marshall fans bashed UNT in this thread? Every thread I've seen turn nasty usually started with MeanGreenGem hurling insults and stereotypes. I had nothing against UNT until some of the fans started posting over here. While I know that they may not be the majority voice for all of their fans, it sure makes it hard to like a bunch of people that want to drag everything to a personal level. Herdzoned pointed out that he can count 4 votes he thinks will go against UNT or La Tech. The next thing you know, Marshall fans are getting called "Toothless" and that we're bashing your university. I know I've asked or raised questions about La Tech, UTEP, or UNT and it's not of a personal nature. It is usually a question about the school, the facilities or something that could actually have to do with admission. Rarely do I get an honest answer back. It usually results in name calling. La Tech and UTEP fans have had their moments but UNT posters to me seem to be the worst at this. Again, I don't want to paint them all with a broad brush, but so far, that's how I've seen it.

the story was good just wondered why it was on the cusa board. im just getting tired of folks from unt & latech posting their case for acceptance in cusa on this board as if anyone on this board could vote for expansion. my point is those who like unt & latech are going to like em those dont, wont. sorry but i wish this would end. at this point i could really care less who gets in :bang:
