Great hire for you guys.
Not sure there’s a better name for a S&C coach. If there’s a candidate named Rusty or Butch or T-Bone I don’t care his credentials...PAY THE MAN.

Rusty is an intense dude. Troy will be mentally and physically tougher with him on board.
What's interesting is that Lindsey alludes to the culture issue we had in the strength room, which is what the fans heard was the issue before Finley was even fired.

SaJason Finley was a joke of a hire... should've never been given an interview after being fired from USM for his terrible results there. He was hired by AD McClain right before he left for USM, so it makes me think McClain hired him as a personal jesture since they knew each other previously during their time at USM. Lindsey didn't hire Finley.

Maybe now we'll see a difference and see Troy come back to the top.

I think with the new strength coach, injuries (presumably) not being catastrophic two years in a row, not having a completely green secondary, the two P5 transfers, and the JUCO guys coming in, we will be in better shape defensively, but I have serious doubts that Brandon Hall can produce a championship defense.

I still have confidence in Hall. I think he's a better defensive coordinator than what last season showed. The transfers, youth, and injuries were a killer last season.

If his history at Jax State as DC is any indication, we could see big improvement.
I'm impressed with his background and experience. Looks to be a great hire. I'm jealous!
Outside of the AD and HC, this is probably one of the most important positions within an athletic department. Congrats Trojans, looks like you got a good one!

"We have to put tough, disciplined, strong and fast players on the field..."

I imagine you will see quite the improvement in the discipline category with a former Special Forces guy running the program.
One the all time cool dudes. He's gonna make your guys work.
The dude is a decorated hero in the armed forces.

He is one intense mutha.

And, he'll be great for Troy.
Former Green Beret
I wonder how much of a difference we'll see in the football program next season because of his hiring.
