Bad start. Not sure one shot we've taken has been remotely close.
Down 23 - 29 at half, and that after a 9-0 run toward the end of the half. Yes, that's how bad our shooting was/is.
Owls down 29-23 at the half. Owls outscoring WKU since they gave WKU a 4-1/2 minute headstart.
Strong start to 2nd half-- score tied at 36 - 36.
Like Rob's assertiveness today. Alternating between his usual pump fakes and more aggressive lines to the hoop. On the flip side, it doesn't like Crisler is quite ready for meaningful playing time.

Also doesn't look like Fiedler is playing tonight.
Just can't get over the hump. Second time we've pulled it to even but WKU's gone back up 5.
Argh. Missed the free throw on the back half of the 2+1 so still down by one.
58-53 WKU. Defense has honestly been pretty good. Just a bit too streaky on offense. Need Murphy and Martin to get hot again.
I take back what I said about Crisler. He's made some good plays down the stretch and is playing hard. Back tied at 58-58. Great resiliency here.

Also really good job by the staff and players prepping for WKU's press. It's kind of a token press, the traps are a bit half-assed, but still easy to turn it over.
We're shooting 0% on shots to take the lead. And a bunch of them have been open.
We were down 13 early. Came back to tie SIX times so far. Still have not led.
Down 58-62 now.

0-4 when game was knotted at 58 for two minutes
62-58 WKU with a minute left. They've made more winning plays than us, if we're being honest. And it's been an ugly final 5 minutes for us. We're actually scoreless over the last 5:05.
Tackled on the way to a 2... no call.
WKU was stuck on 58 for almost 5 minutes. First we caught them, but we got stuck on 58 for over five minutes ourselves.

Not how to close it out, guys!!
Owls finishing game like they started it.
68-61 WKU final. We played a winning game for the first 15 of the second half and a losing game over the the last 5. Peterson had his and-1 to tie the game and then we went scoreless for 5:29.

Still better than I expected. Defense was stout. Ball was moving really, really way for most of the second half. Just couldn't hit anything to give us a lead. Very few teams in the country good enough to weather a 5+ minute scoring drought in crunch time.

Especially coupled with a 4 1/2 minute scoring drought to start the game.
At least it was competitive. Rob is good, but not sure I like him taking 8 3’s, doesn’t seem like the best recipe for offensive success in most games. Of course I didn’t watch the game, so maybe they were open looks and just were not falling today?
I am waiting how they do ay home.
At #198 in Pomeroy, the only C-USA teams below Rice are UTSA (217), Southern Miss (273) and Middle Tennessee (286).
