Dayton, Ohio State, Louisville and Baylor would complain louder than we would.....I would think.....
My 14 month old put up 4 fingers today. He is already more skilled at predicting brackets as that talentless a**clown Joe Lunardi. So there you go.

Amazing that guy has a job doing this all season. There are plenty of bums on the street with more talent that will work for food and gladly do bracketology for less

You do realize he gets the majority of this right every year?

Lunardi’s 5 year accuracy ranks #55. He’s good at getting which teams but terrible at seeding

I’m not putting any faith in the selection committee seeding us fairly. They have shown countless times that they aren’t interested in helping us out in any way
I never liked his seeding.

Its a piece of cake to get the majority right. Of course there are 2 or 3 snubs and surprises at most, but the average fan with access to warrennolan or kenpom can at least tell you the teams in the field once the conference tourneys are over

The only value it generates are temporal weekly water cooler bragging rights in places like some Auburn, AL office lunch room where fans can say they are a projected 2 seed while having the weakest schedule of anyone in the top 100... no real thought went into that pick

True.
Like when Memphis was a 1,2,1, and 2 seed in consecutive years in the 2000's?

Or the 12,8,6, and 8 under Pastner.

The only one that was iffy was the 6 seed for the 30 win team. Unfortunately, that team had no good wins that year.

I think that was the year we played Michigan State in the 2nd round and they proved we werent worthy of better. Josh built a .700 winning percentage all on a foundation of sub 200 RPI wins

Uh huh, and when we had one seeds we got to play 2 seed UCLA in California and 2 seed Texas in Texas?

There was no way to deny us those seeds based on resume. They still tried to screw us as hard as possible.

The pastner seedings we were always underseeded by a line or two except for that 6 seed. The year before we were 12th in kenpom and got an 8 side, playing 14th team in kenpom as a 9.

You're right.

The NCAA selection committee specifically targets Memphis every chance they get.

Yep, they choose Memphis.

Yep, they choose Memphis.

They don't target Memphis to be screwed. What they do is make sure to take care of the darling teams like UNC, Duke, UCLA, Kentucky, etc etc.

And they occasionally do set out to screw Memphis. Strict liability being the most obvious where they made up a standard for us that they never applied to anybody else again.

But you're welcome to your opinion that the NCAA is fair and treats all teams equally. It's not grounded in reality, but you can keep thinking it.
How's that fight going that Cohen & Kustoff vowed to take to the NCAA? Any updates?
the year we got the 8/9 seed against St Louis was a bad beat. Conference Champions and started the season by getting into the top 10 after rolling Belmont. I wonder what things would be like now if Pastner could've ever won the 'big games'.

Yeah in my opinion that was the overall worst seeding we could have had. There were a lot of teams I felt like we could beat that season but St Louis wasnt one of them. They were the dreaded, slow it down and make every single possession count team that has been our achilles heel for way too many seasons.
I'm sure Lunardi spells out a couple seeding expectations and then some intern takes care of the rest.
