Did he apologize for pulling a gun on JJ or flipping us off on his way out?
That link just mentions he apologized but does not list the apology or to who he apologized. So he probably didn't.

7th on the all time scoring list. Not too bad considering he played for wonder boy. And actually finishing 7th is quite an accomplishment.
Local media being super dramatic about the boos. Maybe it's the Philly in me, but c'mon. It's a big time sporting event. If boos from a large crowd are upsetting, then this town isn't nearly as tough as it thinks it is.

Sports are great because the passion and the drama. It's the classic good guy/bad guy narrative. I'd much rather be at a game where people are fired up, cheering and booing.

I'll agree that booing probably isn't appropriate below the high major college level. But when you have a crowd of 10,000 plus, it's really a show.

And yes, I saw KJ crying in the post game interview. I think part of that had to do with media continuing to question him about it and the more intimate situation. He wasn't crying during the game. I could care a less if a big crowd booed me. But then if an individual reporter asked me about it later and said "How'd it feel to be booed like that, with your daughter there watching." Well then I might get emotional, but only because of the nature of the pointed question, not because of the actual act of being booed.

I don't know KJ at all. But I'm guessing he's just fine. The boos shouldn't have surprised him. Nor should they bother him. It sounds like he has a ton of support from people that really matter (his father, Penny, former teammates, the real bball community here).

Let's all move on.
I thought the media was bullying KJ and made him cry.
If they are talking about the apology he made on Twitter then deleted because he didn't mean it anyways it wasn't a apology for what he did it was an apology for it getting seen
It's a basketball game ... In Memphis. If he committed a hard foul ... Or trash talked a player ... He gets booed. I think this article and the tears online would pretty much shut our fans up. But since this is his last game it's water under the bridge. I think he made a good decision going to Tulane. He needs to get a degree from there and move on. Kids make mistakes ...
Good luck KJ !!

Agreed. Joe was a good player. Averaged about 12 points in 28.7 minutes a game for 4 years and never really sniffed the NBA. Just not a point guard and too small for the two spot. Good player here for sure.
You and I differ on him because I just didn’t care for the guy. At all.
I accept.
Tubby should have kept Keelon as an Asst Coach and made his kid serve as DBO. That would have secured Dedric, KJ, and Chandler along with his recruits like Nickleberry, Jamal Johnson, Myreon Jones, etc

it is what it is...

That whole senior class was a letdown and disappointment for me. I know a lot had to do with Pastner probably. A lot of talent and not a lot of results.

The fact that he didn’t make the NBA has nothing to do with him finishing 7th all time in scoring. It’s weird to me that you disliked Joe but you love Tyler Harris. But that’s cool. Funny thing about Harris, every time he shoots one of his wild 3’s that bricks hard off the backboard my dad cusses. 03-lmfao

Harris is shooting 40.7% from 3 point range. He’s a shooter almost exclusively and he’s been pretty darn good. Pretty solid defender too.

Plus he’s a great kid by all accounts. A lot there to like.

My opinion on Tyler or anyone else has nothing to do with any other player.

Not making an nba roster has zero to do with joe jackson’s career at Memphis, I agree, you’re right.

Kinda like joe jackson has nothing to do with Tyler Harris.

Joe wasn't the innocent little kid many thought he was.

Never had been.

Joe was about Joe.

Always.
Insufferable

And shameful, in so many ways
