He's really PRECIOUS!

He is a man amongst the boys!

His ability to time the block, and rebound is 2nd to none. His length and quickness is amazing...his ability to run the floor and even dribble the ball is amazing. He is just a freshman.

I tell you that Tulane would have had upset us last night if it wasn't for some key blocks and some defensive rebounds that Precious did; not to mention is offensive contributions. It was beautiful to watch.

I think Precious is one of those players that is going to turn out to be a much better player in college than he will be in the NBA. He is much more athletic than anyone else, but aside from that, he is just a tiny bit bigger and better than his peers in every category. He might be a tiny bit not as big or good in every category as his peers in the NBA.

He is playing great basketball. He is truly a Swiss Army Knife out there. He will always figure out a way to find a way to help us win even if he isn't firing on all cylinders.

Agreed...

Precious' work ethic will determine how far he goes in the league. Right now he is more athletic than most guys even in the league...Kid moves extremely well for a kid 6'9. He would fare extremely well in measurables compared to most guys in the league.

Question is will he be willing to grind to actually develop a post game and a shot.

Right now, even at the college level, I believe a 6'7 guy who can move his feet can stop Precious from scoring. He really struggles scoring over the top of defense...He either needs to beat his man or bull over his man.
agree.

well said.
Thankfully, someone told him at the half to DUNK THE BALL. I think he has a little bit of timidity, but with his quick hops, and muscle, if he is within 3 ft of the basket he needs to stop the finesse. Stop the head fakes. Stop bringing the ball down. DUNK THE BALL, it doesn’t have to be a monster dunk, just high percentage. Leave the Earl Barron wuss stuff to Maurice.

He’s an amazing player. If his scoring and rebounding stats continue to improve, he may become an All-American.

His rebounding technique kind of reminds me of Dennis Rodman. He’s like he’s on a pogo stick tipping the ball until he secures the rebound. Lol
I like what one poster said earlier. He's like a swiss-army- knife.

So his new nickname is Precious aka swiss army knife.

It will all depend on his shooting ability. If he can just hit a spot up three then he will have a very long NBA career. If he develops any sort of real shot of balance then he will be a big time player in the NBA. But if he never develops a shot then he will bounce around from team to team for a few years before falling out of the league.

With that said, he is absolutely phenomenal and brings a grit and tenacity that is rarely seen in freshman. I absolutely love watching him relentlessly get after it on the court!

Totally.
Yea, he's pretty good..better than I thought he would be. Thank goodness he is, since Wiseman leaving would have left the Tigers in a bind. Also, I love his demeanor, he's very business like.
For 2020, I resolve to never say, “if only...”
But for another few hours, I’m going to daydream about how we’d dominate the paint with Precious, DJJ, and wiseman...
Precious would definitely benefit from another year,
However, I believe he's one and done and will have a decent NBA career
Remember it's all about the Bennies. Hopefully he stays and becomes a lottery pick, but he should be a
First round with no problem.
He's still very raw but I've seen improvement game-over-game in just a small sample size. The way he is trending, he's going to be a force come March.
Precious will be a lottery pick next year. He hasn’t done anything to damage his draft position and if the team makes a run in the tourney, he may even climb into the top 5. IMO if he stays healthy he can be a slightly better version of Kenneth Faried.
The announcers in the UNO game compared him to Pascal Siakim. I could see that in his future if he develops a perimeter game to match his around the basket game.
He is benefiting greatly from James Wiseman not playing
Precious is everything I was hoping Shaq Goodwin would have been during his 4 years here. Not to knock Shaq, he was a really good and well-liked tiger, but I thought he would have turned out to be what Precious has accomplished halfway through his freshman season.

That's a good analogy. "Baby Shaq." COGS
He wanted to end his letters with Love, Shaq but the B52s ruined it for him.
