I have been busy this holiday season and just saw the news. I wonder if they are buying into the "lets drop football and move basketball up" stuff. I know JU was non-scholarship, but I hate it for their fans.
Would make an excellent addition to the SoCon as they basically play all the men’s and women’s sports.
Since they are not a football school there would be no effect on the 4 home/4 away games in football.
I know public vs private may be an issue.
They don't invest in anything at all. They're determined to operate on the cheap and honestly should be forced to drop down to Division II.

Yea, wasn’t that something —- all those I-AA programs that followed ETSU out of business in 2003 and afterwards?
Hofstra has really raised their athletic profile for sure.
